EggFestOntario 2021 is looking for Co-ordinator, someone to be in charge, get the information out during the year, and make sure everything gets looked after. We have a host for the weekend of, and the campground looks after all the reservation/deposit stuff.

EggFest 2020 has had to be cancelled and you can either phone the campground for a refund or transfer your deposit to 2021.

NEEDED FOR 2021
For 2021 we need EggFestOntario – Host/Hostess who's duties will be:

BEFORE YOU LEAVE reminders for this year–
1-Get signs, supplies & any contact information for next year from current host.
2-Ask to be added to the EggFestOntario Facebook Group Page as an Administrator.
3-Confirm the dates for next year with the OFFICE before you leave, and give them your name and contact and preferred site.
SHORTLY AFTER THE EVENT
1-Post next year dates and any other relevant information on the EggFestOntario Facebook group page.
2- Post a request on FiberglassRV.com website to have EggFestOntario posted on next year’s rally map. Then go to their calendar and enter the following Campground basics, new dates for next year and any other information that is relevant as per the sample below.

To book a reservation phone Cobourg East Campground -905-349-2594. Choose a full site or a half site (the big sites have 30 amp service & can handle two 13’ trailers easily) & how many nights you need.
Set up then head over to the Host Site and check out the ACTIVITIES/AGENDA/INFORMATION BOARD. Sign the guest book and if applicable, get your share-the-wealth tickets and souveniere buttons if available. Host site will be open Friday afternoon and Saturday 10am to 3pm.. The Pavilion is available for Eggfesters use Friday night and all day Saturday. The "Bring-Your-own-Supper” is there on Saturday at 5pm. Note: this is NOT a pot luck. Saturday 10am to 3pm is the "Camper Crawl/open house/swap/sell/trade/get-rid-of/share tips/chat&visit/Tour". Post questions, tips, tech info. and your site number if you can help answer questions.
Relax and enjoy a few days socializing or visiting the area.

THROUGHOUT THE YEAR-
1-Monitor and update the two sites as needed
2-Answer questions & make decisions as required on both sites.

HOST FOR EGGFEST WEEKEND We have a volunteer to be host for the weekend only-DUTIES ARE; –Check in & remind the office that you are the hosts for the weekend.
Get the key for the pavilion.
Post the HOST Sign at your site along with Activity/Agenda Board(s).
Have greeter there Friday afternoon and early evening-3pm to 7 or 8pm, and Saturday Morning to mid afternoon. – 10am to 3pm. (people will usually volunteer if you need them).
Have people sign the guest list with name, type of trailer and contact information.
If applicable, hand out buttons and sell “Share The Wealth” tickets to cover costs.
Open the pavilion – Friday night for cards or other activities if anyone wants to utilize it. Lock it up again and then re-open Saturday afternoon at 4pm for our supper & evening use.
At supper time, find hosts for next year & hand over supplies & signs, hold any draws, make any announcements needed, confirm dates for the next year. AND Remind everyone that volunteers are welcome to organize any other activities. Do a check that the pavilion is tidy before you close it up Saturday night. (it is available to us for the whole weekend) Return the key before you leave Sunday.
Hopefully someone will step up to help the volunteer we have for the weekend.

Mention EggFest when you call. The campground is closed but still taking calls. Call ASAP or you can wait until April. Unless you are already booked, deposit paid and site confirmed, you are not guaranteed any specific site but you can ask.



You can also request to come in early and/or stay over extra days.



2021 is being looked after, as you can see, but we will be looking for Hosts for 2022. We need someone to get the information posted here, and to open up the host site on the weekend of the event. Thank you.

If the campground cannot get the washrooms open for the end of May, they may delay EggFestOntario until the fall. Check with Cobourg East Campground - 905-349-2594 if you plan on attending.

Cobourg East Campground is booked the weekend of August 13th to 15th for Eggfest 2021, assuming we are allowed. She has about 15 sites available and if more show up she can double up some of them. The bathrooms will be open but not the rec hall and we will be limited to groups of 10.
You will have to contact them to book a spot. You can email from their website, or call
905-349-2594. You'll likely get their ans. machine. Please pass this along to your friends as I don't have emails from past attendees. Also if you could let me know your name and # in your party please so I have an idea how many are planning to come @
