Arriving Thursday, June 9 and departing Sunday, June 12. I'll be on site #005.

Looking forward seeing everyone again and having another malt at Hurst Drug.

My ambassador's bourbon barrel at Maker's Mark is ready. I need to make an appointment with them during the rally to buy my bottle.

Interesting... ... ...

Have you reached the bottom of the barrel yet? When you do, do you get the barrel?

Just realized we didn't add our details either. Marilyn and I plan to arrive June 8th for 5 nights, site 2.
Don't forget your extra utility connections!
This is one of the campground remarks; "Utility hook-ups could be up to 40 feet from camping unit. Distance to electric 37 ft, Distance to water 41 ft"

Yup. I had site #2 last year and it was one of the few "level" sites. However, since that site's utility connections were not within reach, I had to back off the tarmac into the grass to connect up... The 30a connection worked but the 15a circuit breaker wouldn't reset. ... ...

I defer to tree huger Steve & Anita to comment but I recall that their site's utilities were on the other side of the ditch/ravine off the back end of the site.

No, the only thing you get is a free tour, a chance to dip a bottle from your barrel, and a chance to buy as many bottles from your barrel as you want. Kevin's barrel is ready too.

We have to wait for a ticket in the mail to arrange an appointment. Hope it comes soon, so we can schedule this during the rally.

The rally

This rally is attended by great people and the area has many interesting stops along the way, however the campground is way past its prime.

As I recall with site 12, it slopes backward quite a bit. You may need to bring some 2x8” boards or such to put under your trailer tires to raise the backend so that you can drop your tongue lower for leveling. Just a suggestion…

Kevin,

Thanks for the heads up. We have been to this rally a few times with a Casita, Escape and now the Bigfoot, love the area but the state park campground has a few challenges for sure. We heard that the park was due for an upgrade, not sure where that stands. Hope to see ya there!

Anita and I are looking forward to seeing everyone next week and will greatly miss those who won't be able to make it. As far as the campground, they still have not done the upgrades as of our last check. Have debated on a few other campgrounds, and even tried Wax at Nolin Lake, but not a lot of options on the Bourbon Trail. Have thought about the Ky Horsepark in Lexington, which is at the end of the Bourbon Trail, but haven't had a chance to check it out. We have heard it is a little pricey. We welcome anybody's suggestions for another place to hold the rally.
Safe travels to everybody
Hope to see you on the road
