Interesting? I don't belong to the Escape forum, (why would I, I own a Casita?) And I don't have a Master List of who's attending our Taidnapum WAG, so I'm not sure who is "sited" where in the big picture, but I don't think that the Reservation System would allow a "double booking" for a site to occur. Something seems to be amiss here...

Well maybe I am confused. I am ghosthunter on the Escape forum and Bobby Escape on this forum. I have reservation at site 280 at upcoming rally.

Are both sites same logins?

Give me guidance please.

Well, now it makes sense, and you'll be real close to the action...
Same site, different name, (on different forums,) but you're good to go!

Thank you

I tried to use same sign in here as the Escape Forum but it didn’t like it. So I ended up with the
Bobby Escape here.

Smile Bobby Escape / Ghosthunter

Thanks for clearing that up. I was wondering what was going on.

We likely will try for site 281 when we arrive so we will be neighbors.

There is no Ghosthunter here, so I don't know why there would be a problem. Get in touch with the Admins, they can change your screen name to Ghosthunter: https://www.fiberglassrv.com/forums/sendmessage.php

Looking to be a little damp around the edges this weekend folks. Maybe not a total washout steady rain but pop ups and umbrellas are looking to be the way to go so come prepared. I may have a humongous big tarp and lots of rope if I can find it. We might have to do some rigging to be able to gather in one spot so be thinking about it. We seem to always have been able to figure it all out no matter what the weather has been so come with a good attitude and we'll have a go at it. See you there.......

Well, that's Washington weather for you, although it has been an exceptionally rainy late Spring this year, even more so than usual. But the old saying here in WA is "Never plan to do anything that you can't do in the rain, or else you'll wind up never doing anything." Plan for the worst and hope for the best.

Hellooooooo Happy Campers!
Sharen & Simon here, we'll be in site #273 for 3 nights beginning Friday. I know, I know, it's been a while since we've last joined you at Taidnapum. If I recall, we were at the first one way way waaaaay back. Greg, that's when I first met you and we discovered that we'd each graduated from CCHS, in New City, NY: me in 1962 and you in 1972, as I recall! I look forward to seeing you again.

Tomorrow we're driving down from our home on Whidbey Island.
As Simon has endured a couple of "silent strokes" this past year, I'll be doing all the driving. Long ago we camped in a Casita, but currently we're in an SOB, a 24ft 2004 BORN FREE moho. We'll take our time, arriving in time for hotdogs and chips.
And yes, we'll have our signature BUFFALO PLAID, of course. And our 3 terriers, Holly, Jip and Squirt.

Safe travels to all of you.
Looking forward to fun times.
Sharen

Kim, Greg...???
Is there an attendee list somewhere? One with site #s?
It's been awhile and we geezers may need a bit of name recognition assistance.
Cheers, Sharen

Well just got back from the Rally. Met lots of nice folks folks.
We left Sunday am because the fishing wasn’t much and heavy rain in the forecast. We decide to head North to meet up with relatives at Winthrop.

It rained cats and dogs near Quincy WA and dirty water over the roads. The truck and trailer both need a good scrub.

We found clear sky’s at Winthrop and a very nice drive home over the North Cascades. Was able to get a full hook up site at the state park.

Here’s a photo from the park.

Sharen[/QUOTE]

As always, it was great to see you and Simon again. But for the record, I graduated in 1970, not '72.

Well, I have to say that during this years WAG, it rained, and rained, and rained just about the entire trip, with the sole exception of setting up Thur. and breaking camp Mon., (Of course.)

Not just the rain like we normally have here in the PNW in early Spring, but it came down as "Monsoon" rains, the likes of which I don't think I've ever experienced in over 50 years of living out here, especially for this being June. Maybe in Feb., Mar., and Apr. we get a lot of rain, but we expect that. Not this late in the season. At times it rained so hard it came down in sheets, and you could look out your trailer window and not see the trailer in the next site over, plus the thunder and lightning that accompanied this unseasonal weather system. All said, tarps to huddle under and umbrellas/raingear were the decor of the weekend. Wasn't the sunny weather that we would have liked, if anything, far from it! Now that I'm home again, I'm cleaning and drying out everything to get back to normal after thre "trip from hell." Hope it will be better, (drier,) next year!

Slide Show

So I think this should work for everyone to view the simple slide show I put together on YouTube. Please let me know if you can't get to it and I'll try a different approach. Between rain showers I hope I was able to get photos of all of the participating campers and their trailers but if you don't see you or your trailer I apologize. Despite the weather, we had a great time getting to know new faces and testing out all kinds of equipment for weather related issues. All in all, I think this gathering was a success. For next year, I'm open to any and all suggestions on how to make it better so don't be shy.

Great pictures Kim, (as usual.) Nice that you were able to not ruin your camera in the process as well with all the rain we had.

Yes, it was raining! but tarps worked! now friends have a large Clam tent and maybe others might consider buying… my vehicle is not large enough to carry one.
