AL | 2022, March 17-20: Gunter Hill AL Gathering 2022

Make plans to visit Gunter Hill March 17-20, 2022, for the 3rd annual unrally for St. Patrick's Day. Kip has decided not to be the point man this year, so I am stepping in to invite everyone to come back to the park to renew friendships, relax and enjoy the beautiful campground. There's lots to do in the area. No structured activities other than music at the Pavilion, but people have a way of making things happen! Reservation window opens in September. As you reserve a site, please make an notation here so we can have an idea of how many will be coming. Looking forward to another fun gathering! Merryn

FWIW : Merryn will be a great non host for the 3rd annual Gathering at Gunner Hill. She and Robert are really nice folks. And involved!

We decided to sell our Casita mainly due to my health issues. Sciatica is getting worse , making Set up and tear down the campsite a real chore. And unable to really move around and visit much. Add to that declining depth perception is causing errors while towing.

The folks that bought our Casita are great. They have transformed the interior into a colorful work of art. They are enthusiastic campers and have shown an interest in the March 2022 Gathering.

So we will be there in spirit, and hopefully make a day trip there.

Last year all 69 reservable sites were taken by the end of October. So shop early!

Sorry to hear that Kip! I still remember the day you drove over to our house to see what a fiberglass camper looked like inside.

Hope everyone is navigating these new times safely with the COVID shizzel and all? I come to all with hat in hand. I recently finished the conversion of my RAV 4 to make it a 'tacticle camper' for myself (no it's not camo) and would like to run it through it's paces at this event. Regretably, because I am a slacker, I seem to have missed the window for open spaces... If anyone knows of a cancelation could you inform me via this medium, that would be awesome. Howdy, folks! We are fast approaching the 2022 Gunter Hill Gathering, aka Cracked Eggs and Spam. Although this is not a rally, there are a few scheduled events - some music Thursday night and Saturday afternoon, and the famous Gumbo hosted by Bob and Pat Harko, assisted by Jerry and Wanda Chapman!!!! Friday at 6pm at the Pavilion, Yay!!!! But here's the problem: the chef needs a fairly solid head count, so that we neither run out of food or have too much left over. If you have not responded here with your site #, PLEASE PLEASE do so before March 1st, so that we have an idea how many will be attending. Thanks in advance, and we'll see you soon!

I am booked on site 20 Catoma for 3/12-20th, but have to leave on the 17th. I haven't changed my reservation yet. I will release 17-20th tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing everyone, hate I have to leave when it is just getting started.
