10, long back in with a big tree root 3/4 back.. negotable tho. There is a big tree, may not be suitable for awning deployment if you pull way back.

Right next to 8, the big site that is a pull thru that I will take as the common area.

There are a couple more (6, 4 and 5) but I think these are the ones that the deading, er, wedding party will use. Don't know, I have tried a couple times to see the FS today, but the guy I need to talk too isn't in.

This loop was not laid out with trailers in mind. Some spurs are on the wrong side, and some would be impossible to back into if approaching the way they have the road arrows set up. You'll have to look and then go the OTHER way (Loop back) if you want one of those. Since no one else is up there, that should not create traffic chaos.

and I just got the golfcart ride with the Mother of the groom. The wedding is actually on Sunday at 2pm, so we will not have a party to deal with Saturday nite, but they will want to come in and decorate sunday morning. They will have sites 1-6. We can have the rest of the loop as we choose, even those sites, as long as folks are moved out early sunday am if you take them.

We can also put 2 trailers in the pull thrus, so Liz, you are off the hook. Pull in behind me. (We have to pay the same tho)

If I pull in behind you I won't be able to unhook to use my Jeep. And I want to go shopping at the Ontario Mills Mall. Ok, not really but I might want to sight see. I'll just make you back it up. I know you just want to pass out beer and watch me try backing, laughing and pointing.

I had the pleasure of meeting the Harpers today. They stopped by for an early morning look see. Very pleasant folks!

They may have friends joining them as well, we'll play it by ear.

Firewood!!!

I forgot (Ain't getting old grand?) We will be allowed to have fires, but they don't sell wood at the CG. Please toss in a box of scraps etc if you wish to have a fire or to participate in a group campfire at nite. I have noted the little store in town actually carries.. real live honest to goodness Presto Logs! 2 bucks each.

I'll try to bring some scrap stuff from work.. mmmmm.. burning maple.. yeah!

I pass over the 210 connector to the 15 every day 9ish or so a.m. Northbound is never heavy at that time, even on a Friday. It starts to plug up around 11 a.m. or so, but doesn't get REALLY annoying until 3 ish on Fridays.

The BIG plug starts just after the 210 connector. To avoid, take the 210 east to Sierra and go north on Sierra straight to the campground. It's actually only about 4 miles or so longer, but can sometimes save 45 mins to an hour!

+ you'll get to see the biggest old Victorian house I have ever seen just south of the 15 on Sierra. I have watched them restore it slowly for years. It's really cool to see. This giant beautiful old farm house that is mansion sized, out on the flats.. with nothing else around except for a modern house on the same property that I assume the restorers live in.

Sounds like a better way to go, plus the bonus of seeing that house!

The campground host told me today that "Someone with a Scamp" showed up at the campground to get information on the Rally. He said he had trouble getting the info from here.

If you see this, let me know what you are looking for and if you are coming so I can put you on the list!

(And it isn't the Scamp already there. SOMEONE is anxious and showed up REALLY early)

We have just added another Casita... Kurt and Ann Klingbiel!

We may be pushing the "regular" campers out with our Big Glass

The Pot Luck question has come up again. Do we have enough interest for a full meal, or could we plan on bringing our own Saturday meal to the group table and just Pot Luck deserts?

I know it's getting spendy for everyone these days without having to feed a herd. I vote for a community meal of our own individual dishes and maybe an Ice Cream and Sauce social for desert?

That works for us. We can't bring ice cream but can bring toppings.

Potentially, it looks like we will have about 20 folks, if the friends of the friends show up.

I will bring Ben and Jerry's Vermonty Python because I am a sick old bird and a silly English Kahnigget!

It goes well with chocolate or fudge sauce, marshmallow cream or raspberries too!
