OK great.. so, with the few votes we have, and since it's so close..

Plan on preparing a meal for yourself on Saturday and bring to the group area if you wish to participate, no pot luck, but we will do a desert "Pot Luck". Ice Cream, cookies, cakey bits, whatever you think folks would enjoy a nibble of. You don't need to bring for 20 people, since not everyone will try everything. Maybe consider for 5 or so.

Do we have any special needs, diabetic etc that need to be filled?

Robert might give everyone Diabetes. He is bringing hand-made Chocolate Truffles.

Good thing I didn't know about the ice cream part sooner, or I'd be coming. And I unfortunately have far too much to do at home so its good that I'm not coming.

That and the price of gas...

more for me! Yes, I have "gas pains" myself.

And speaking of smoke... I have learned that they are doing prescribed burns very near the area...just over the hill from there.

Do not panic, it is not a "real" fire, it's the forest service doing a much needed forest service job. So, it will be a bit smokey at times, but nothing to worry about.

They are saying they may even set up a public viewing area. Apparently, they are using helicopters to both start and stop the fire in a controlled fashion. Might be interesting to see if they do that. The forest service roads in the area are easily traveled with a passenger car.

It would be interesting to me to see a fire as a "show" instead of in my rear view mirror while I am screaming down the mountain to get away from it.

Gina,
Count on us for a 1/2 doz. bananas and maraschino cherries for 'split ingredients on Sat. evening.
It turns out that we won't be obligated for our Friday appointment. When does Friday check-in begin?
We're looking forward to making new friends and renewing old friendships.

Oh yay! We'll need Vanilla and Chocolate and Strawberry Ice creams then..volunteers?

Kurt, anytime is fine. The gate keeper may frown on 6 a.m. however... anytime in the morning thats reasonable works.

I will bring a pair of "Wheel Weigher" scales.
[quote]I would be able to weigh your trailer:
(1) before you got it unhitched and totally set up, or
(2) as you are hitching up ready to leave.

Another Saturday nite...

and we are all hyped up on sugar from cake and ice cream and cheese cake and truffles and cherries and s! The desert goodie table was filled with all kinds of stuff Mom used to yell at you at for eating too much off. Well, Moms not here... Nee ner nee ner neener!

Small turn out, but twice as big as last year. We have spiffed a bit, but not fixed.. cause well, thats what we do. There was a lot of staring and pointing.. yep, that needs to be fixed.. lets eat!

We all went out and overwhelmed the little store/eatery here and had a huge breakfast..

I know.. pictures.. here ya go.

Thank you very much for all those attended! I had an excellent time, and I think we behaved enough that they may let us back next year.

Leslie...Dave.. I tried to catch Jason before I left, but he disappeared. If you see this (and him) please extend my apologies for missing him, and great thanks to him and his family for making us so welcome and comfy! I wanted to thank him in person!

Here are a few pics of the Saturday nite hypoglycemic party

And I replaced my Black tank's dump valve gaskets before coming up.

You forgot all of the Party Gifts you passed out to improve everyone's trailer!
Thanks Gina!

Thanks Gina,
We had a very interesting week-end with plenty of partners for palaver! We enjoyed renewing acquaintances with Liz & Eric, & Fred and Robert. Meeting Elwin & Sally, Jim & Joyce, and David & Leslie was a treat. The collective menagerie kept us active and entertained.

Good show!

A good time was had by all! It was very nice to see everyone!

We stopped at Bass Pro on the way home. I had about 50 bucks worth of stuff in my arms but decided to forgo because the checkout lines were too slow.

ah yes, the Lovely Party Gifts I have to bribe folks to come to my rallies....

I found some "As Seen on TV" LED fixtures that have a magnetic switch so you could make light magically happen in your cubbies or pantries when you open the door. Just like your fridge at home! Big Lots is your friend.. they had them in boxes of 10. I spared no expense. Really.

what did you put back Liz? Not a solar lantern.. I know that...
