This year's spring rally will be held at Prophetstown State Park May 16 & 17 leaving on the 18th.
Prophetstown State Park is located near Battle Ground Indiana just north & east of Lafayette, IN.
There are plenty of things to see and do in the area. Hiking, historic Prophetstown, a Native American Village, Battle Ground Museum and Battle Field, Prophet's Rock, Wolf's park and of course the nearby town of Lafayette.
There will be a fish fry Saturday evening, just bring your favorite side dishes and deserts and enjoy good fish and good company.
Make your reservations for the Savannah electric area. I have already booked site #239 so any site between 220 & 241 will work. The new shower house is real close. Book your site now as they will go fast!

We should be on site 231, unless our new grandson arrives a week early.

Welcome back Rich and Maureen and welcome Bonnie. I've counted 10 trailers so far between those here and on the Casita Club site.

Come on Spring!!

Actually - I DID try to take some pictures, but they ended up on the dark side and you couldn't really see much of anything. It's one of the downsides of the wood interior - doesn't reflect much light so it's a bit on the dark side. I didn't even stain the wood! It just naturally darkened up with the polyurethane. Anyway - What still has to be done is to install beds (already have cushions), put together a table, get the electrical elements hooked up, remount the rear door, install some drip caps and paint the exterior. It's not really all that much but having toddlers around really kills your free time ya know.

I'm going to try to finish off the baby trailer in time for this. It will also depend on who ends up coming with me. If both big kids want to come along - I'll take the family camper anyway. The converted trailer will only be a 2-sleeper. If it's only me or me and one kid, I'll try to bring a (hopefully finished) baby trailer and try to bring the bike down with it to do a little riding too.

Bump. Bump.

For the newbie,

Looking forward to the potluck. What's the acceptable # of servings to prepare?

Bonnie,

Who isn't a cook, so she has to plan these things.....

Hi Bonnie,

Just regular amounts of your covered dish is the right amount. There is usually a lot of variety so don't go overboard. A casserole that would serve 6-8 or a regular sized cake or dessert will suffice. Only 3 and 1/2 weeks to go !!!

Two more days! Having TV issue at the moment. But with a bit of effort, I think the Play Pac and I will be there. The Play Pac is still essentially a rolling tent, but, it might even have indoor lights by then.

All this rain is making matters worse.

I've been furiously trying to get my little HiPoint cargo trailer conversion presentable. It's also little more than a rolling tent - but given I need the ability to roll a bike into the middle of it - there really isn't much of an option there. On the plus side - I've got power (110 plus a 12V system run off a jump starter). Don't have any of the curtains ready yet (no peeking!) There's still some exposed framing inside - and the license plate is just sorta bolted onto a hole in the rear frame - but it's legal! If all goes as planned I'll be there with my oldest daughter (she's hoping to bring along a friend). My wife might be coming down for the afternoon on Saturday with the little girls too. The plan is to head out and hit the Wolf Sanctuary.
