There will be two little 13' scamps and their people camping for 4th of July at...
http://www.lakekirvresort.com/
For the 4th, the lake lights up as you sit around a nice big bon fire!
Not sure for reservations or space so call ahead.
Perhaps well see you there...

Sounds nice and not far away, but I have to look for a place where no fireworks are allowed so the dogs can survive the evening without trauma.
Plus my California plates have not come yet so I'm unregistered.

NOPE!!
She is fully dedicated to Rod Runs and trailer meets as am I.
Her birthday also falls on a local one day show n shine (park n sit) that we faithfully attend the following weekend...
If its got WHEELS and/or Performance, we are there!!!
...and besides, IF we weren't there, we'd be in Cannon Beach OR. for 3 days, 'hotel'ing it. So, which is more F U N???

Hi Mary and Valerie,
How late do the fireworks usually go?
We're in Marysville and it stays crazy loud until pretty early in the morning.
The Girls (our Lhsasa Apsos) don't particularly hate the noise, but could do without it. Last year we went to Deception Pass to avoid the amature fire bugs.
It would be fun to do an overnighter close to home.
Bobbie-
Deception Pass is a great park if you can get a reservation. You can hear the noise fron Anacortes and Oak Harbor but its quite remote and not startling, at least for my girls.

two words.
Doggie Downers
Mine go to La La land on the 4th if I can't actually TAKE then out and away from festivities.
I won't be able to go out this year, only one day off, so.. the vet will be helping this year.

I really want to say that the noise stops pretty early, starts early i think becasue most cant "wait" for it to get dark, then it gets going pretty good and because its all just homeowners doing it its not really too nutty, but i could be wrong.
My doggie does pretty well with the noise, the first two she barks then i think tires out and realizes its just not going to stop.

The noise is very bad here, but at least the dogs feel at home. Janine (the one most sensitive to noise) has her spot to hide under the bed. I would not feel too comfortable taking her to a strange place and exposing her to bangs.
Deception Pass is very nice. My shakedown trip will probably be an overnighter at one of the Whidbey parks (since I'm here) but has to wait for my license plate.
