Not sure we can make it. It is Kevin's graduation weekend. Since he is the big shot now, he has to be there. We are thinking about the possibility of making it for Sat night only.

Mike and Judy Meyer in 005 thought about 007, but I am too old to live up to those standards.

Not sure if anybody cares, but... CindyL's comment about my conflict for May 18 (Kevin's graduation) refers to the fact that I'm the school superintendent and have to be present at the high school graduation the evening of May 18. We then have our middle school promotion ceremony on Monday, May 21. The fish fry must have been a weekend earlier last year since I know there wasn't a conflict. We're thinking about driving down very early Saturday morning and just staying for one night, but we'll have to see if we can handle the total of 12 hours of driving that weekend. We would love to be there with you guys! I'll know more about my weekend commitments for that weekend in a few weeks.

Last year there were 2 weekends between Mother's Day and Memorial Day. This year there is only 1.

Every year, we think about hosting a rally somewhere in the Midwest that works with our schedules. Tenure got in my way a lot for rallies, and in the past, this rally was problematic for me. My calendar changed last year, but this year, the date is a problem for Kevin.

This year, for me, tenure is in the works, so maybe we can finally get this rally together either this summer or next. In keeping with the unique element that we wanted our future rally, I gave Kevin a deep fat fryer for Xmas (We volunteer on Pine Ridge Indian Reservation and ate these things there.). We thought that if we hosted a Midwest rally, we would have a night of Indian tacos and wajopi dessert (blueberries with either frybread or ricotta cheese). We are going to test recipes for Indian tacos with his new toy.

Sorry that we are not able to work with this date. With this economy, who knows when we can retire?

Cindy just know you will be missed.

I also like watching you guys set that whole thing up!

Now I might have to get a Screen Room and Palm Tree!

We don't have a palm tree. We did have a Bonsai once that we took camping, but we killed it.

We do have a neon Uhaul sign that we put in the front window. You could get a neon beer sign and put that in your front window.

I guess you just wrap the lights around the legs of the room and I see Palm Tree!

Nice illusion.

OK. I get it. Somewhere we do have one palm tree that is made of led.

The lights keep me from strangling on the wire in the dark (and the daylight too).

Knowing how much we just drive around, I'm guessing we will probably try to come down, even if only for one night. Of course, the way gas prices are predicted to go right now, who knows? We might be camping in our driveway all year!
