Wish we could go but with the house for sale, we just have no idea ahead of time if we will be in the middle of a move. We may head that way and try to find a campground close by to drop over for a visit. We have friends in Halifax we can always go visit.

Baddeck Cabot Trail Campground | Simply The Best Camping On The Cabot Trail!

ACCEPTING RESERVATIONS AT THE CAMPGROUND: FOR THE 8TH ANNUAL MARITIME VINTAGE FIBERGLASS RV RALLY

This should be a great rally this year, like other years many have already booked sites. So, far aprox 20+ have registered within 1 week of opening the registry. We are very excited.

We have planned a fun get to know each other evening with a game my mom and I have created.

We are also contacting the Gaelic College in St. Ann's to see if we can get a bagpipper or fiddle player in to welcome all and maybe some highland dancers.

We of course will be having our annual buffet on Sat evening with some fun and prizes.

We are hoping all will enjoy the hospitality of the Island and take in some of the many attractions such as the Cabot Trail, Miners Museum, Fortress of Louisburg, Salmon Fishing in the Margaree and of course the many trails provided in the area.

So why not come on down for a visit, we are sure the tea will be hot and great conversation will be in full swing.

Since our house is for sale we cannot pre-commit but want to come. If we are stable with a home, we'll just come down and hope for the best. We have friends in several cities in NS so will have other things to do if we can't get in.

Alison,

Have my eyes missed what part of the campground you all are making your reservations for?

Shame on us, we drove right past this area without exploring when we did the Trail. So, I'm looking into another trip out that way. Not sure we are up to such a long trip in July, but thinking.

Thumbs up

Hello Nancy,

We have sites 1-27 and then 97-104 reserved for the rally so far. There are still sites available in these areas but they are going fast. I would love to welcome you here in July. If you plan to come but are unable to book a site please come anyway I am sure the campground will be able to squeeze you in. It is a very large campground and the more the merrier.

If you need any more information please let me know.

Thank you, Alison

Hey Allison, is there a group rate for the folks attending this meet? The sites you have blocked for this meet, do they all have power and water? I think it is going to be great event! I am going to book in the next week or so. Hope you don't mind a Teardrop or 2 attending? :-)

HI Julesap,

So glad you may join in the festivities. All are welcome to attend. We have reserved aprox 30 power and water sites and a few with septic also. Not sure if the campground is giving a discount but you may ask them. We would love to see your trailer or a few more of them. We have an open house on Saturday mornings so it would be a great time to explore the different types of trailers. If you need any information please let me know.

Our reservations are made! We're actually going to stay Friday to Wednesday so we can take more of the southern sights without a 2 hour drive back to Ingonish (our regular vacation location). Can't wait to meet everyone.

Hi Ginger B

So happy you are booked in. We are planning a potential murder mystery event for Fri and Sat. What do you think about that idea? I will be going up to Broad Cove after this rally the next weekend maybe we will see you there too.

anything new to add

The thread went dead back in April.

Just wondering if there is anything new to add about the rally.

Thanks,

Sheree and Greg

Hi Turif.

We are planning a murder mystery game that will be played out on Friday night and Saturday with prizes. We have a fun night planned for after 6pm on Friday night also with games and prizes. A 50/50 draw for the weekend will take place also. Of course our show and shine with open house on Saturday morning and free time after 11am. At 5pm we will start our buffet and in the evening it is so far just a relax time around a campfire and free time. Sunday it is the closing of the rally. I hope this gives you an idea of what will be going on at the Baddeck rally.

Alison, hope to see you there

What is a 50/50 draw?

Do you have an idea of how many rigs will show up?

We have three things going on around that time and still don't know if we can work it in. If we do we will probably have to do a lot of driving with long days. Did not want to do it all in just 2 weeks. Will have to think more about this. Price of gas is not a deciding factor. We just got back from a 1,500 mile ride. the Rav4 averaged 19.3 mpg. Odyssey got 17.5.

Sounds like you have a fun rally planned.

Hi Nancy,

So far we have aprox 25 -30 trailers booked in. My family members who are acting the murder mystery have 4 cabins booked also.

A 50/50 draw is people purchase tickets and half of the money raised goes to the winner and other half goes to the host of next years rally to help with additional costs of planning. We would love to have you there but don't worry about reservations. The camp ground is big plenty of other sites if you decide to come we will make room for you. Driving long distances can be hard so if you decide to come drive safely and hope to see you in the summer.
