Adirondack Mountain Mini Rally

:wave Hi everyone! Lynn and I would like to invite all you Fiberglass RVers to join us at the North Pole Campground on the Ausable River at Whiteface (the Olympic) Mountain, in Wilmington, NY, near Lake Placid. Owners are Jim and Mary Ellin Carmelitano, and they are prepared to welcome a group such as this. They have told us that if we have small trailers, (open pop-up size) they would be willing to give us sites down by the water. They usually reserve these sites for smaller campers so as not to obstruct the water view for others in larger outfits. All sites are close to the water, however, with easy access for canoes or kayaks. We have 3 Casitas so far but would love more variety!

Reservations can be made by telephone: 1-800-245-0228 or online at http://www.northpoleresorts.com We will be in the RVSS area of the campground map.

This is the top rated campground in the Adirondacks and has a wonderful playground for the kids, is squeaky clean and has cute cottages and a motel available for those who would like to visit, look at our "rigs" and don't yet have one of their own. Come on and sign up, bring birdseed for the site bird feeders, your boats & paddles, tour the Olympic sights in Lake Placid, eat at great restaurants, climb a mountain or drive the toll road up 5000 ft. Whiteface - you'll be glad you did! :sporty

NY waters

I just sent Bob this thread address, and I hope we can join you! :wave We had a wonderful vacation in his old Coleman pop-up, fly-fishing the wonderful streams up there. I just don't think I could head him home after only a weekend. :r
This remains a problem with one Retired Guy and one Working Gal...:nope :yep

need geography lesson

Here is my reply from Bob about going to this mini-rally:
_________
Hi Dear,

That is in the Adirondacks and not the Catskills where we have gone previously. Mapquest shows it to be 454 miles and about 8 hours of driving.

Bob
__________

Now, that doesn't :weep sound too hopeful....
but I DO have some influence :reye2 hee hee
maybe if I can take off an extra day or two...:chin

NY Waters

Hello Beverly,
Just bring 2 cars when you come - then Bob can stay and fish and you can go back to work:sad Of course, that means he'll have to put the Coleman away by himself!:reye2

Seriously, though - we camp around here all the time and would love to have others join us anytime. We usually are in the great NY State campgrounds, which means "dry camping". Because we love paddling we are always where the water is :hap2 but where the speedboats aren't - usually the St. Regis Canoe area:) :)

North Pole ho ho ho

Sound like a fun trip.Iwill already be more than half way there. I have a clam bake in Binghamton the week before. it is just a matter if filling in the week in between. Moose River Rec area is sounding like a good stop over spot. Calling in reservations I imagine would be best to get in same area. Ok I made reservations. seem there are 4 confirmed and one maybe as of today.

Adirondack Mountain Mini Rally

Hello Good People !

This Rally was mentioned on the Bolerama website sometime last fall. It generated a number of expressions of interest, including ours. Then it dropped out of sight.

We found this Fiberglass RV group site quite by accident while surfing the 'net, and are making plans to join the fun May 30th to June 1st with our '77 Boler Voyageur.

Although time is getting short, I suspect that if you give the details on www.bolerama.com you might hatch out a variety of "eggs" from this corner of the universe.

Dideson (= Diane and Des, from Ontario)

Adirondack Mountain Mini Rally - May 30-June 1, 2003

WOW!:ola

I've been having major computer problems here and haven't been able to check this thread until just now!

Today was my big 'seven oh' and my hubby, Lynn, & I headed over to Lake Placid to celebrate. On the way we stopped at North Pole Campground to see how things were going and discovered that there were now 7 eggs signed up! :cheers Let's see if we can make this a full carton of a dozen! This is so exciting! Welcome to Elizabeth, Wayne and Desmond, and any other who have signed up that I may not know about.

Rather than re-typing everything over, I'll refer you all to the Casita Club Forum for all the links and messages pertaining to this outing from there:
http://forums.casitaclub.com/thread_view.c...cfm?Thread=4680

Also, it would be a big help to me if those of you who have made reservations at the campground would send me an e-mail so that I'll know whom and how many to plan for. We'll be having an informal 'reception' in our screen tent at our campsite RVSS #40 on Friday.

Will head on over to the bolerama website and post this as soon as I get off here!

Cheers! Catch you all later. :feet

Newbies from Hawkesbury...
We just bought and dragged our 13' Trillium from the Niagara Valley. We have a bunch of fixes to do to it and not much time to do so. We've been zig-zagging through this neat :thumb site for advice and fixes. Then, I thought, look for rallyes, gotta go camping with this melon, sooner or later... I'll talk to Sue and see if we cna make it. JD:huh

ADK Mini Rally

Great photos, Al! Sorry you got away before I had a chance to get a photo of you and your cute little rig, so I'm glad to have the one you posted.

If you go to the Casita forum on this Mini Rally, you will see we're talking about another one in the fall at Barber's Homestead Campground on Lake Champlain. Keep watching, as we'll post that as soon as we get it together. Maybe Steve will host that one, as he knows the campground. Hope you and that mellow Mac will come up for that, also. We sure did have a great group of people at this rally!

I'll upload some photos as soon as I can get them to the correct size.

ADK Mini Rally, Photos, Lake Champlain Mini Rally, etc.

Yo Al!

We haven't gotten that far yet on the fall rally on Lake Champlain. Will check w/Steve & see if he wants to host it. I'm sure we'll be doing it, so keep watching for it.

I'll try posting my ADK Mini Rally photos here, as the Casita Club forum keeps giving me error messages :crying

I hope Mac de Cat gets better soon - he has got to be one of the sweetest, mellowest kitties on the planet!:wub

Here's a trial photo or two:

Well, I don't see the photos - just their "titles" - so I'll submit this and pray!

Ann
