I was just at the upcoming rally area of the forum, could not find any information about this rally... When is it?? How do I get more information? thanks...
I will be in florida part Jan/Feb Sarasota area then over to New Smyrna Beach area, this rally is conveniently between these two points...

I just split this out of another topic. Here's info I've found about this gathering:

ScampCamp 2009 February 10-15, 2009 (Tues-Fri) at Sebring.

Florida is planned for our 11th Annual ScampCamp at Highlands Hammock State Park. Nearly a hundred SOI Members attended ScampCamp 2008 to celebrate the 10th anniversary of SOI.

If you are planning to attend, reservations should be made as soon as possible. To place a reservation, have your credit card ready and call 800-326-3521. Request a campsite number between 71 -138.

Once you have a reservation, please contact Alice Vernezze at ezzeal[at]bellsouth.net or PH: 321-773-2676. Alice has her registration sheet started and would like to collect the following information: 1) Names of all attending; 2) City & state; 3) Site number; 4) Dates attending; 5) SOI number; 6) size of Scamp or trailer and 7) is a name tag needed?

ScampCamp 2020 is at Highlands Hammock State Park in Sebring FL.
Starts Monday FEB. 10th (early bird) leaving Saturday FEB 15th.


This is a great rally!

I just posted it today in the rally area of the forum.

You can PM me if you get reservations and I will pass the info along to Dick Freed.
There will be plenty of trailers arriving early and plenty leaving late, so come if and when you can!

We will be there from the 3rd to the 17th

Also be aware that at the current time Highlands Hammock State Park May be completely booked. However, if you really want to attend Scamp Camp, keep checking up to the last week before the rally dates as there are almost always cancellations. And you may be able to get one site and have to move to another in the middle of the rally due to sites having been booked midweek. This, however, although a PITA is not a problem because in mid-February you will likely be wearing a T-shirt (or a sweatshirt at worst) when you move due to Florida’s “winter” weather being more like summer or early fall weather that our country’s more northern areas have.
