We were in Manzanita last week exploring, and went thru the camp ground, its nice, and while we drove thru, we encounters a herd of deer grazing the grounds!

I know a few people who want to book into this rally but A loop is totally booked up. Has anyone confirmed that the park will in fact be opening up B loop for first come first serve?

Hi Carol, I scooped this info from this page: Oregon State Parks and Recreation: Rates
" To make reservations, call 1-800-452-5687. Discovery Season camping: from October through April, A Loop accepts reservations. At the same time of year, B and C Loops are open on a first-come, first-served basis, and D, E and F Loops are normally closed but will reopen if the other loops fill."
There's 265 sites in the park, it's doubtful it will fill up the last weekend in April...

Thanks Donna, that was my understanding as well...... it is indeed a big park so I would be shocked if those arriving without a reservation cant get in.
Don't know if you have control of the main meet posting/page but you may want to add something about it on the page as I have had a few people indicate they are not going as they could not get a reservation.

Reservations are now available for B LOOP at Nehalem Bay State Park during our gathering!!! THANKS to Brian Van Snell for checking with the park and encouraging this on behalf of all of us!

Don't have a camper yet (and won't by then) but is it okay if I just show up on one of those days (just a day trip). Don't know that I'll even be in Oregon yet though planning on it.

Of course you can Nick, we'd welcome you. If you'd like to stay... check out the Yurts. It'll be a great opportunity for you to view many brands and talk to the owners too.

One month from today, it will be Friday night at the Spring NOG. I expect there will be a bunch of folks roastin' hot dogs or sausage dogs around the NOG tub in site A 23 (more details posted in two weeks!). Anyone else want to join us? Now that B Loop is open for reservations, there's TONS of room for more eggs and the great owners who tug them into the campground
