Carol, I added Bonnie and Tao to the list. I'm glad they can make it for the night!

We would like to do the mud caves too.

We can wait for them- especially since we don't have to worry about beating the desert heat. We just want to be back in time to utilize the pools/spa....I think they close at sun down or around there.

Talked to the ranger today and she said there would be room to park our truck next to the trailer in site#17. We reserved the site for Friday & Saturday nights.

Okay, we have reserved site 2 for the 12th through the 16th. This will be our first camp out in almost a year and the first one with our new to us, Trail West Campster. We have always loved the pools at this campground.

Any dutch oven cooking anyone? Shall we bring our pots and stuff?

Linda and Dale, glad you can make it. The gathering is going to be pretty informal but I know that Rosemary is planning on bringing her oven and she always campfire cooks too. I might bring my stuff, if I can find it in storage!

At this point our group has 16 sites reserved. As of tonight the online reservations for the campground show only three RV sites left available in area 1 and fourteen sites in area 2. If anyone reading this is still interested in coming it would probably be a good idea to grab a site sooner than later.

Cool

I will be bringing 5 bottles of white wine, and I want it all to be enjoyed.
  1. SEBEKA - Chenin Blanc "Steen" 2008
  2. BLACK OAK - Muscat Canelli 2009
  3. BLACK SLATE - Riesling (no date)
  4. CRANE LAKE - Moscato 2011
  5. HAPPY CAMPER - Chardonnay 2008

I had heard that white wine doesn't age as well as red does; is that true?
These were gifts to me that I wish to share. I really don't know that much about wine.

Thank you Frederick, Iam sure we will be able to find SOMEONE who will enjoy it. I always bring red so I think we will be well covered in wine. The Crane Lake and Happy Camper will be my first choice. They are very good.

I always have my cast iron with us. I will probably cook a side dish to have with the hot dogs on Sat. nite. Probably cinammon buns to have with morning coffee.
I will be putting a "ONE MONTH TIL THE GET-TOGETHER" e mail out later today.

I've got some leftover parts from remodeling.

Would someone like them if I bring them to the gathering?

Dining table, two foot in diameter, missing the floor attachment - they have them at Camping World. This looked really good in one of the recent threads, but I have put in a permanent bed.

Two little reading lamps. I think the are original equipment. They come with LED light bulbs.

Night light from near the door. Original? It is pretty cute.

Love to trade - don't know if you do that.

Looks like some must do business will get in the way of us being able to attend. Murphy's law. We will have to move our reservations to another weekend. We were looking forward to our first FG meet.

We are working hard to get our trailer ready. Top is off and new wood going in, new bed, new tires. We are so looking forward to seeing everyone again. We just wanted to know if we should bring firewood or if there is a ban on fires in fire pits and or washtubs with screened lids? No sense in dragging a load of firewood 450 miles if we can't burn. Does anyone know?
