be prepared to pounce. Getting into a NOG or the Oregon Gathering is kinda like buying an all molded trailer... cheap.

Brandy, haven't heard of anything recently. Be sure to check ReserveAmerica often. Maybe an SOB will cancel! There are 10 sites reserved that aren't part of our group.

Good news, at least for Vicki and I. We're coming! Shoulder surgery is set for May 1, so we may have to cut out Sunday, depending on pre-op schedule, but we'll be there with bells on. Look forward to seeing all our U.S. friends and some fellow Canucks. Four plus weeks, huuah.
cheers
Ian

Thanks Donna, and apologies for the delay in responding. We're in A26, scheduled to arrive Wednesday and leave Monday, but we may have to bolt early since surgery is Wednesday, May 1. But we are thrilled to be getting out again.
cheers
Ian

Can't tell you how much we are looking forward to seeing you all too, seems like forever since we're been together. This will be our only early-season outing, and i am hoping to be ready for a music festival we attend in July, but we'll see how rehab goes. So we'll really enjoy this one. Be there in 4 weeks, hurrah.
cheers
Ian
ps., Dave doesn't owe us a lunch, we owe you guys a dinner!

There are now THREE egg owners trying to get reservations. The park is full. Please, please, do not cancel before posting. You can cancel three days before arrival date and get your money back. Give others a chance at your site.

BTW: I drove through Champoeg today. The wildflowers are in bloom. The grass is really green and there were lots of folks out playing disc golf, walking and riding bikes through the park. Of course the weather is spectacular in Northern Oregon this weekend. Keep your fingers crossed for great weather at the NOG.

Twenty days from today, we'll all be CAMPING! Everyone is required to bring A table or two for the pot lucks would be great, if you have one you can bring that would be grand. I'll be bringing my not-so-EZ-Up to put over the food, but I'd prefer .

This is the NOG, so no plans other than everyone wants to know when we're going to eat

Activities happening at my site: A20

FRIDAY, April 26
Craft Beer Exchange - 7pm SHARP (at 7:05 it's over!)
Bring a six pack of craft beer from your area brewers. Trade one bottle/can for a different bottle/can. This is an opener event. BUT, you don't have to be a beer drinker to enjoy the camaraderie and NOG fire pit... just bring your smiling face and a lawn chair.

Also, please bring your hot dog/buns... everything including the condiments on the bun. This is NOT a potluck, just a chance to have dinner with everyone else. Some like sausage dogs; others the highbrow fancy dogs. Or, eat at your trailer and bring your lawn chair and join in the conversation. Smore's and roasting Peeps encouraged too. NOG pit going at 6pm, come anytime after that to start your roasting.

SATURDAY, April 27
Pot Luck! Dinner at 6pm SHARP. Bring a dish to share. Any type of dish – main dish, side, salad or dessert. Bring your chairs, table service, and what you want to drink. The NOG fire pit will be going. Wood is always welcome.

SUNDAY, April 28
We typically have a breakfast brunch before everyone leaves. Anyone care to add to the details about that?

NAME TAGS! Everyone, please make/bring/wear a nametag. We have lots of newbies coming, let's make it easy on them. I have raffle prizes to give away. But, you have to be wearing a name tag to WIN. Anyone and everyone is welcome to bring something for the raffle. Regifting trailer/camping stuff is acceptable. The person bringing the raffle prize gives it away!

As usual, everyone is welcome to participate or NOT. No pressure here. Just come and have a good time.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Oh yeah, and bring

Smile

I will make a trip to the Wet Dog Cafe/Brewery in Astoria and grab a six pack of beer... and Cari is making a giant batch of her Qiller Quinoa Salad for the pot luck

Counting Down

Donna - Thanks for the briefing on SOPs for the NOG. We're really looking forward to it. We'll be rolling out after church a week from now, wandering up California 49 and then the NoCal & Oregon coast for a ways before our arrival.

We'll bring some Arizona sun if it doesn't all get washed away on the trip north.

I suspect it will be Four Peaks Kilt Lifter and southwestern baked beans for our contribution.

Dang! I wish I had the time off, sounds like it's going to be lots of fun!!!!! Tell me honestly? Is the July Oregon get together as much fun as the Spring Oregon get together?

Lightbulb

can't speak for the gathering per say...but as an Ex-Nevadan (& my wife) i can say that 20+ years in Oregon tells me the likely hood of actually seeing the sun-disk is far better in July than April !

Oh I know all about that Northwest weather. I'm a native Washingtonian and I spend my summers up there every year.
