BC Glass Eggs Meet, Mission, BC June 21-23 2013

Registration is now open for the BC Glass Eggs Fiberglass Trailer Meet.

When: Friday June 21 to Sunday June 23, 2013 - Campers are welcome to arrive on the Thursday after 1PM and leave on the Monday before noon.

Where: Sons of Norway Campground, 11901 Seux Road, just outside of Mission, BC

How Much: $5 per trailer meet fee, Electrical sites $25 per night and Non Electrical $20 per night. Cash only payable at the meet.

BC Glass Egg Fiberglass Trailer Meet- Ups is not a formal club or group. The meets are open to anyone who has or is interest in fiberglass trailers old or new.

Children are welcome to attend. Well behaved & friendly dogs are also welcome but must be kept on leash at all times while on the Sons of Norway property.

The Sons of Norway is a private facility that rents the area to us and leaves it to us to organize ourselves and collect the fees on their behalf. There is a large communal fire pit, swimming pool and a play ground for the kids and a large field area for games. It is not set up as an RV park but it does have washrooms and shower facilities although on the rustic side. The limited power sites available ranges from 50 amp, 30 amp to 15 amp so please make sure you bring a few different power adapters and extension cords as well as a long water hose should you require power & water as we can not guarantee what the power situation will be at each site. None power sites are not pre allocated. To see photos of past meet-ups at the Sons of Norway campground please check out our Facebook page.

There is no RV sani dump facility at the campground but there is one that is free to use located in the City of Mission.

All campers must register prior to the meet due to a limitation on the number of power sites and how many total trailers we can have at the rally. The registration can be found at BC GLASS EGGS FIBERGLASS TRAILER MEET REGISTRATION. Your registration info will not be posted to the internet.

Glad you will be joining us Don.

We have 40 trailers signed up so far.... expect a number more to sign in with the usual last minute rush as people wait to see what the weather may or may not bring.

With less than a month to go until the meet we have 40 trailers registered. All the power sites are booked up but we still have lots of room in the dry camping area. Things are starting to take shape and it should be a fun meet. If the weather forecast looks promising suspect we will have a number of last minute folks book in as usual!

Thanks everyone who showed up for this years meet. We had 44 trailers registered but sadly due to thursdays downpour we had 10 tailers decide they were not going to risk the weather. Despite the rain on Thursday we still had a handful of folks turn up early and we had a fun social evening under the big tent complete with a fire or two!

The weatherman ended up providing us with a pretty dry week-end for the 34 trailers that did turn up. Shorts and flip flops were a popular choice on Saturday. Friday and Saturday night campfires were all warm and dry. We even had a number of campers enjoying a bit of pool time between events on Saturday as well.

Some Great looking trailers, Great costumes for the saturday theme potluck, great food for the Friday and Saturday night events and the annual bocce tournament turned out to be a big hit once again.

Thanks to EVERYONE who stepped up to make all the events happen.
Greatly appreciated all the help & couldn't do it without you!

Photos are up on the BC Glass Eggs Facebook page - link below.

Carol

PS Don glad you made it out and I am sorry that the other 17' Boler's who were registered decided to wimp out due to weather fears. Hope you still managed to get some ideas from the trailers that where there.
