Camping Casita at Niyodo river.JAPAN

:) I appreciate that Michael invited me to this forum.
Thank you , Michael !

Hello,everyone! I'm "aki".I have participated from Japan.
I have a wife, a 10 years-old son, and a 7-years-old daughter ,
a 3-years-old cat ...and 12-years-old Casita '16 Spirit Deluxe .
I am enjoying Casita as a base-camp for down river canoeing.
There is 120 million population , but there are only 3000
camping trailers in Japan, especially,Casita is a minority
brand.(almost are made in Europe.)
But Casita is the the best for Japan...A narrow road situation,
a strict license system, rainy climate, a small tractor...etc

Today, I contribute pictures of camping at Niyodo river
on last weekend.

:wave Aki,

Thank you for posting your camp out from last weekend.
As you know, I love your photos of Canoeing, Dutch Oven
cooking, and of course Casita camping.

Please come back often and post photos of your adventures.

Be sure to view Aki's personal web site..........

Members here should be sure to visit your personal web site, which is one of the nicest that they will ever see, in my opinion. The photos that you post, including the ones of the modifications you have made to your trailer are outstanding. And we love seeing the pictures of the campsites in Japan.

So be sure to visit Aki's web site, from the link posted on his member page. Especially if you like fly-fishing, gorgeous photography and, of course, Aki's family camping in their Casita.

We're glad that you are here, Aki!

cost

It would take me 20 min. to down load a traslater so I'm having trouble with the site, but this idea of a US made trailer in Japan is great. The question that keeps coming to mind is HOW did it get over there? special order? shipping must have been more then the trailer. The pictures are fantastic.

Aki's website enhancements

George is so right!

Aki, you have made many changes to your website since the last time I looked at it! :sunny
Thank you for adding so many English captions to your photographs... It looks as though you have excellent ideas of what makes the perfect campsite! I love to imagine your family by the river, on the other side of this crazy, beautiful world!

Jana, we used to be able to get a translated version by accessing it through Alta Vista. I'll look into that again. It's easier to navigate now, without a translation, but I agree - it's frustrating to know we're missing some of Aki's descriptions...

:jump Having said that, though, the photos need no translation. Aki's quite a photographer... and has a nice looking family. (I like the idea of a “Cat's Tent.”)

Hi Aki

Hi Aki! Good to see you here!

Glad you are still enjoying your fiberglass trailer!

Jan, believe Aki bought his trailer new ... as have a few other folks in Japan ... which was shipped from the factory, if memory serves me right.

animation

Did you see his cartoon loading the canoe? I thought for sure he was going back to push the trailer up to hook it on. Course forgetting the kid was good too, as that's every parent nightmare.
Your are a design genius, Aki.

Thanks !

Thank you for your heart-warming welcome for me.
And I am glad for many guests to visit my website.

Michael,
you gave me the wonderful opportunity.
I want to say thank you once again.

George,
your evaluation to my website is quite exaggerated.:)
But your evaluation is my pride in fact.

Thomas and Janifer,
We can also buy Casita from a regular dealer in Japan
(It is called Tranquil Globe Company.)
My Casita is U.S. original specification , but now ,
New Casita currently sold in Japan is converted.
However, it is very expensive.:o
That animation is real experience.
Although I don't forget Casita, I forget a canoe.

Mary,
I've made little changes to my website for english
speaking people.Translation software is very able ,
but he (Mr.Translation software) still translates
Casita into Mosquito seater, and downriver
into down RIBA.

I 've taken the pictures for Christmas cards last weekend.
<img src=http://www.fiberglassrv.com/board/uploads/3dd06406aceb1nyc2003.jpg/>

Finally, I apologize for my English is the level of 2 years old.

Hello!

Aki, you have a wonderful family! Thank you for sharing that picture with us. It is quite an honor.

Your English is very, very good. I admire anyone that speaks more than one language. Especially one so different from their own. You also write it quite well.

We are really glad you're here.

english

I second that, Suz
You speak English much better then I do Japanese, Aki. I don't speak Japanese at all. So how do you say 'hello' and 'thank you' in Japanese? It's 'Oh see Oh' and 'wa-do' in Cherokee. and 'Hey' and 'Wanishi' in Delaware. (end of lesson one)

Aki. you said you ran off and left your canoe? Oh that's bad. I would still be kicking myself if that was me.

The yellow sky

Today, the sky of Japan dyed yellow with the yellow sand from China.

Michael,
Why did I get interested in so many things American?
I don't know why ...but it is merely sure that they are very
wonderful things. It may be also one of the reasons that
I am a Boy Scout from childhood and camped with many
American children in the Jamboree performed at Mt. Fuji.
We eat a toast , have a coffee and put on Levis usually.
We put on a kimono only at the time of a ceremony,
(Do you want to see the photo of our kimono style?:E )
and probably, you have more opportunities to eat sushi than me.
It is usual for me that we enjoy many american things...like a having coffee.
However, It's sure that I am a Japanese. I love my country's
original culture (cultivated by long tradition) and a nature
(There are the 24 seasons ! ) of Japan.

Suz,
Thanks a lot.
Although I studied Spanish at my university, it is poor at English.
I can speak Spanish a little because I've lived in Cordoba,Spain.
But language is not only grammar.I believe that talking or writing
in broken English is first step for English progress.

Thomas and Janifer,
'hello' is 'konnichiwa'. ' Hi ' is 'Yaa'
'thank you' is 'arigato' in Japanese. 'Domo' can all be substituted for them.
(end of lesson two) ;)
One day , I went out for canoeing. I felt that something was strange
while driving a car.
I arrived at the river. There was no canoe on the roof of my car.
I went back home in a hurry. My wife put her hand to my forehead and she said...
''Don't you have a fever?''

Yes, Please show us kimono style.

I too have been a Boy Scout all my life. I am an Eagle Scout. What do they call the highest rank in Scouting in Japan? Scouting is a family thing in our family. My grandfather, my father and I were all Scout Masters.

Kimono,our national costume

Your grandfather & your father and you were all Scout Masters?
It's great !! You grow up in the wonderful environment.

Though regrettable, I omit activity as the Boy Scouts now.
But I have been a Boy Scout all my life too.
I am a Kiku Scout.(Kiku means chrysanthemum. )
Kiku is the next rank of a Hayabusa(Hayabusa means eagle) .
We call the highest rank in Scouting in Japan '' Fuji ''
'' Fuji '' is the name of the highest mountain in Japan.

Although it is not related to Fiberglass RV , I show you our kimono style.
It is a photo of 5 years ago.We were very young !:o

kimono!

Aki,

The kimono style is beautiful, but I think your children look happier in the picture with the flowers! (Perhaps it's because of the 5 years of camping with your canoe and Casita!) Thanks so much for sharing with us.

In my state (Texas), we sometimes get your problem of the sky dyed the color of sand from another place. In our case it is usually brown, and from New Mexico or Arizona!

Happy Trails, Kiku Scout! :sunny
