Canadian east coast to west coast car tour July and Aug 2010

There is a car tour being organized this summer from St John's Newfoundland on July 6 to Victoria BC Aug 22.
Over 100 cars are registered and most will be camping. As the cars range from the late teens to 1980 you can expect that there will be a number of boler's and trilliums and at least one oxygen(ours) being trundled to a town near you.
the web site www.coasters2010.com now has a list of the campgrounds being used and the dates the tour will be there.
Families from every province , a few states and one from New Zealand will be on this event that has been 2 yearsin the planning.
Norm and I are excited to be going part way in a 1970 Olds Cutlass convertable ( my brother's). Our little oxygen will be going all the way with my brother and his 1966 Pontiac GTO. The retirees are the ones able to do the whole tour, we working stiffs are squeezing in the dates and places we can.
Similar tours have been run in 1967,1990 and 2000. There is no one car club running the tour, but local clubs will be joining for a day or two. This years organizers are from BC with regional planners and are already on the road to Newfoundland. So you may see them going east too.

I hope you guys had fun! I was camping in Nakusp and left just before you all got there. My parents were in Kaslo and saw about eight or nine of ya stopped for lunch. I wish I could have see it!
