East Coast Rally

:wave We are planning a Casita, and any other Fiberglass RV rally June 20,21,22 in Kentucky, 2003. There are so many places to visit in the area that there is something for everyone. This place does not take reservations unless we have 20 reserved sites. So if you are intersted please e-mail me and place a reservation. As soon as I have 20 reservations I will make the secured reservations for the park. Check out the Kentucky Horse Park web site for area attractions information. A reservation deposit of $25.00 will be required. Terry:wave :wave :wave :wave :wave :wave :wave

June 24

It's going to be a busy June next year.
The Scamper club is meeting at Turkey Creek RV Park, Hollister, Mo. The ScampCamp will run from June 24 through June 29. All are invited, not just Scamps. I'm not the one doing it, just comparing dates and places. That's the week after yours, Terry. go to the first and just mosy a little west and go to the next.

Rally June 20-21-22 Horse Park

The Scamp rally sounds great. With the dates being so close we would have enough time to close up the Horse Park Rally and get over to the Scamp rally. A rally to rally caravan would be interesting. FYI: The horse Park is already completely booked for the week before as they are having a misic festival. Tell us more about your Scamp Rally. Terry: sunny

Turkey Creek

I take no credit for this get together. I've copied this from the Scamper Club site. Joy is the one starting this. It started as a singles (jokingly) but us attached are going too and are welcome. When asked what we would like to do I mentioned antiques. I believe there are many in a day trip from there. I had asked if I could mention it to some of the other clubs I belong to, so as you 'guys' are one of them now, here is the info.

OK FOLKS!!! Here you go......we're having a ScampCamp @ Turkey Creek
RV Park, Hollister, Mo. The ScampCamp will run from June 24 through
June 29. You choose your dates, I'll be there the entire time.

Turkey Creek has 67 sites with Water/Electric/Sewer/CaTV for $16.50 a
night. There are walnut trees (not neccarially at ever site), gavel
parking areas, grass between the sites, a concrete pad with table,
showers, and it sits on a little creek.

There is an small old used as a gathering place with a computer modem
if you can't bear to be away from your computer. However, it's only
large enough to seat 30 people so I'm hoping our numbers will be
greater and that we'll have to just take our chairs over to a large
grassy area nearby. None of the campsites are large enough to hold
all that I hope comes.

I spoke with a nice man named Jim Guthrie who will be manager there
through November. This happens to be an Escapee's park so managers
come and go. Jim told me that June is off season and there have been
no reservations made for that month so we are in business. It's the
only place that I called that sounded the least bit acceptable for a
ScampCamp of any size and that would take reservations.

Casita and other Fiberglass Trailers Rally

Everyone is welcomed: It would be nice to see all the different trailers and do a show and tell tour.:reyes :reye2

After our rally we can extend our travels and head to the Scamp Rally if they will have us. Now that would be a real traveling Rally.

I spoke with Dean today at The Kentucky Horse Park about how to handle advance reservations. They do not take reservations except for groups of 20 or more. They require a check for the 20 reservations to be sent in all at one time with discount prices of $20.00 a night. Deposit for reservations is $20.00. If you plan on going and want to make reservations please send a check made out to Susan Littke for the $20.00. Once we have 20 reservations we will then cash your check, make out one big check and send it to Dean at the campground. They do not take individual checks for group reservations as can't keep up with this group and that group stuff. I will not cash your check until we have 20 reservations with the deposit of $20.00. I will let each of you know when the checks will be cashed and reservations secured. Right now we are on the books tentatively . Dave said that if cancellations are made 30 days in advance a refund will be made. This park does not take daily-weekely or weekend reservation so if you decide to attend at the last minute you will have to take your chance of getting a spot at the campground in any area. I do hope this helps you in making a decision and planning now for the rally. You can e-mail me directly for more information as well as the address to send a check to. Dean said you can call him at the campground if you have any questions about his reservation policy or the campgrounds. You will need to give him my name as the contact person so he knows which group you are talking about. http://www.imh.org/khp/ Kentucky Horse Park, Lexington, Ky 1-800-370-6416x257

Changed over to the North American Fiberglass RV Rally

All Invited:::::

Bigfoot, Boler, Burro, Casita, Scamp, Surfside, Trillium, U-Haul & homemade Travel Trailers!

So much interest has generated that our small rally has turned into the North American Fiberglass RV Rally. The location is still the same, at The Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, but the dates have been extended from June 18 to June 24. A $20.00 deposit will be required to get your name on the list. Reservations have to be made for the first installment by January 1st. At that time I will send a check for what reservations I get and the campground will send us a contract. Then we will be official. So please act now, and just do it. This will be very big and a perfect opportunity to see all the other trailers and learn more from each other. You can e-mail me for my address or if you have any questions. No check that you send me will be cashed 'til I get the required amount we need to have a contract made.

For more information about the park, see Kentucky Horse Park, Lexington, Ky or phone 1-800-370-6416x257
