I've been volunteered to organize this gathering, so here goes !
We've got reservations for May 18, 19, and 20 at the:
“The Country Waye Campground” in Luray, Virginia.
It is an area in a big valley with farm land and mountains surrounding. Of course, Luray Cavern is nearby.
Check out their site: Country Way Campground
“The Country Waye” 3402 Kimball Rd. at 1.888.765.7222
$34/night, and they have 30 and 50 amp and full hook up at each site.
Your pets will be welcomed by this park with the leash law and pick up after them.
Post here if you are coming so we can get a head count going.
So far plans include a Friday night wine/cheese or beer/hot dog gathering.
How about a pot luck lunch or dinner on Saturday?
And we should definately have a tour of each of our eggs to check out mods and decorating ideas
If anyone is interested, I can bring clay (I'm a full time potter) and we can have an hour craft time Saturday afternoon making a hand built pottery mug or other useful item.
Maybe some of you have done things at other gatherings that you'd like to suggest?

Hey Denise! Don't get my May work schedule until the end of April...(just want to attest to the fact that not all campers are retirees!)....but I will keep the dates in mind! Just want you to know that I appreciate your willingness to plan this! I actually had the thought today, that "arts and crafts" would be a great activity for camping....so, I, for one, think your offer of sharing your talents would be fun! What materials should we be bringing, if we want to participate in pottery playing?

Just bring yourself! I'll have everything we'll need with me (except the kiln! What I'll do is bring them back with me and glaze & fire them when I get home then send them back to everyone - about $4-5 dollars USPS I think)
I teach pottery workshops a lot, so have lots of experience with transporting greenware and all the tools we'll need to have fun! There's not going to be any fee or charge for the clay or glaze or firing. I'm doing this for fun and think it is a great way to get to know folks!
Hope your schedule let's you get away that weekend, Elizabeth!

I will furnish three new camping items for a drawing which we can have after potluck dinner or whenever. Bill

Bill, What a great idea to have a drawing! I'll bring a couple of camping items for the drawing too!

OK, this is shaping up to be a party we can't miss. We'll extend our Spring trip, dragging our heels on your southern sandy beaches to catch this gathering of old (i.e. long-time) and soon-to-be new friends, on our way home.
We are signing up with Country Waye via the Internet today.

You should have heard the conversation when I told her we were part of the FiberglassRV forum!
"Fiberglass?? I've never seen one of those. Why do you call them eggs?"

Alright, East Coast Ralliers...
I'm in contact with a gentleman who is experienced in fiberglass repair and owns an Auto Body and RV Storage near Luray. He plans to talk it over with his RV mechanic, but the idea is to have them both come out on Saturday (19th) around 3:30pm to give a show/tell on minor fiberglass repair and general maintenance of our little trailers.
If this pans out, I've invited them to join us for our pot-luck dinner that evening.
Any opinions, thoughts, suggestions on this?
hope I haven't overstepped my boundaries... let me know

Hello everyone, I have not heard back from the gentleman I spoke to about the maintenance talk.
I've left a message for him, but I won't push it beyond that. If it doesn't pan out, so be it, I know this little gathering will be a great way to share info on mods and maintenance as we make new friends!
