Thanks George! That makes sense. A generator would be just enough for my needs, hopefully!

We will be toting along our Honda 2000 generator, and we carry a battery charger too, so with an extension cord someone can get a charge while it is running.

And it is very portable so sharing is definately possible!

No solar on our rig (YET).

Rats!
We were SOOO looking forward to coming but I'm not sure the Compact II we just got will be "campable" yet. We came home using magnetic trailer lights because the cord was missing and we have to sort out the propane and 12V systems.
Maybe we'll make it, but its not looking good right now.

Not a problem with the trailer.
1. Magnetic trailer lights - No Problem
2. Propane system - Coleman stove
3. 12v sistem - Coleman lantern
Hope to see you there.

I have reserved Feb. 10th and 13th as vacation days. Now, as long as nothing at work screws this up, I will be making my way there for the weekend. Looking forward to seeing every one from last year and meeting all newcomers.

Denece, don't worry I stopped in there last year on my way back from California after just buying my '72 Boler no food, no blankets, no lights, no nothing. They're good people and I wish I could be there this year.

Hi Dustchaser,

First of all welcome to the forum. I am going to do my best to be there and I will be pulling a 25RQ. I got there late last year but there were a few other Bigfoots. I hope you can make it.

Cheers,

Bruce

Well, the gathering will start in just a few days. Some reminders for the event.

As usual, we will hand out nametags for those that need them along with greetings to the event.

Any firewood you might have would be appreciated for the central campfire.

Saturday Afternoon: Please bring a can of soup (Not cream style or condensed) and join us for the "Soup Thing". It all gets dumped into a couple of pots and shared with everyone. Please bring your own soup bowl and spoon. This will be followed by the "Wine Tasting". Those that would like to participate, just bring a bottle of wine (red or white) to share.Anyone that would like to bring snacks to share, that would be great

Pets: All pets must be kept on a leash or in an enclosure while within the camp area. You are responsible for clean up and sanitary disposal of your pets waste.

Looking forward to seeing all our old and new friends again. See you soon.

Already in AZ. Heading to Quartzsite on Thursday.

Beware - there will be an EggCamper hiding in the herd of Casitas and Scamps.

Hi all!
Our friends Randy and Jane T. from CO met us in Q-Town last month for the RV Weekend. They are staying thru the Fiberglass RV Rally this weekend. They are the wonderful folks whom we met in Yosemite Valley in October 2011. We invited them to join us that weekend at the Lake Casitas Rally... and they attended for the full weekend. A very nice surprise!! So, say Hi dee ho to them in their Big Foot!
See you there!

A camping neighbor said her friend from the east (VA?) was heading out to Q-Town for this Fiberglass RV rally. His name is " Lane" and he has a black, standard poodle, "Phoebe."
My friend said we'd easily recognize Lane's Casita, as a big tree fell on the front of it during a recent storm and it has an unusual patch job! So, say ..... Hi Dee Ho to Lane! Currently, he's moving through Texas!

No official count yet but 70 plus trailers. Temps near 80. taken Friday evening from Dome Rock and the hill east of it. Views to the North and Northeast. For those not familiar you can see I-10 in the background and Quartzsite in one of the photos.
