First Annual Southeast Spring Eggscursion
If you are an owner of a
Casita,
Scamp or any other similar camper
come join us on the edge of the Great Smoky Mountains at the Lazy Daze
Campground in Townsend, Tennessee on April 24-26, 2008.
While there won't be formal events, there will be group activities,
such as meals or trips to take advantage of the area.
If you haven't been to Townsend before you are in for a treat.
Townsend's nickname is "The Peaceful Side of the Smokies." The Little
River runs along the campground and provides swimming, fishing and
tubing. In addition, within Townsend there is an 5 mile paved bike and
jogging trail along the river walk paralleling the Little River. Cades
Cove is nearby and popular for its hiking and biking trails, panoramic
vistas, and many forms of wildlife.
But the big event is the 16th Annual Townsend in the Smokies Spring
Festival & Old Timers Day. Held at the Townsend Visitor Center (only a
half mile away) on April 25-26 which features Bluegrass Music and
Jammin', Appalachian Demonstrations and Exhibits, and much much more.
For reservations, call the Lazy Daze Campground at (865) 448-6061 or see

you need to cancel]. The campground is not holding spaces for this event,
so you will want to make your reservations soon.
