Hi there - Why not join me (next to my 13 foot Boler), in Prince Edward Island, from May 29 through June 19?
Habitat for Humanity (HFH) runs an RV Care-a-vanners group, where people from anywhere bring their rigs, of any size / configuration, to help build housing for local people who meet certain criteria (see that info below). this is strictly volunteer work for no pay, but usually/sometimes a lunch is provided. This group is looking for 12 rigs.
! I did three builds last fall
- two in Michigan, one in Minnesota. each with a different group of people from all over the U.S.. After working from about 8 - 3, we had a 'happy hour', and lots of conversation, games, and even some touring the area together.
Parking was provided - for the PEI build it's $15 /night.
No special construction skills are needed - "a willing heart" is required, as is a hammer and good boots.
I see from the website that this is a "Three Week Build Building a split level home for a family of 10. Type of Work: Wall raising is May 28th and framing for 3-4 days, drywall, finish work."
