I've reserved site 215 for my 1977 13' Scamp.

Too bad that Laura & Rick can't make it but I'm happy to have site 215. It looks like I'll have nice neighbors.

I'm new to this egg camping. This will be my second outing with this Scamp that I bought in November of last year. I camped with it for the first time last weekend in Stevenson, WA with the Teardoppers of Washington and Oregon group.

I'm doing a complete restoration/remodel/upgrade on it and will be looking for ideas from other eggs.

As some of you know, it's been crazy at work for me and we have had to cancel several campouts! We go live with our new system Sunday and I am ready to get out of town. We just booked site 242 - arrive Thu and leave Mon. Can't wait to see everyone and breathe some mountain air. We may even bring our kayaks. (Deb & Chuck - ready to find another geocache? Dave's loading them to the GPS as we speak). Greg - thanks for keeping up the list!

Hi Jeff,
Welcome aboard!
I'll be next door in 217. Norma and the Girls are staying home this trip.
We did some time with TOW before we sold our teardrop and bought our first Scamp.
Looking forward to meeting you.

Last year some of us rode the Mt Rainier Scenic Railway from Elbe to Mineral lake. I cobbled some video of that 2hr round trip if anyone is interested.

http://www.members.shaw.ca/fibernati...lway%20wmv.wmv

NOTE: At Mineral Lake (the terminus of the MRSR trip) there is some sort of RV Encampment and you'll see it at the end of the video. Please note for first timers Tiadnapam is not depicted in this video. Tiadnapam, both the old and the new sections, are beautifully nestled in a quiet park setting 5 miles east of Morton Wa. :-)

I'm looking forward to meeting you, Paul, as well as everyone else.

I'm wondering if I will need an adapter for my electrical hook up. I see that Site 215 has 50 amp power available. My '77 Scamp still has the original 15 amp (2 vertical blade and 1 round ground pin) plug like a 15 amp 125v outlet found inside a home. Does the power outlet box at the site have a 15 amp 125v outlet in addition to the 50 amp outlet?

I think I've seen multiple outlets on boxes at other parks. When I was tenting and needed to charge my digital camera battery I would wait until dark and then plug it into an outlet box at an unused full hookup site nearby.

If not, I'm thinking I will need an adapter to go from 50 amp to 30 amp and then one to go from 30 amp to 15 amp. I don't see an adapter to go from 50 amp to 15 amp.

Like I said in my previous message, I'm new to trailer camping and this is one thing I'm not sure of.

Hi Jeff,
I believe the electrical hookup boxes have outlets to accommodate you.
50 amp in the park site description usually means 1 - 50 amp, 1 - 30 amp and 1 or 2 - 15 amp outlets in the power pole.

Here's a picture of a typical 50 Amp RV site power pedastal (with protective cover removed for a view of the "internals".) It has a 50 Amp, a 30 Amp, and a standard duplex receptacle outlet included, along with circuit breakers for each.

Generally, a 30 Amp panel will have both a 30 Amp RV outlet (round) and a standard duplex receptacle outlet. A 50 Amp panel will have all three.

Just in case you all did not know this, but there is now an Android app for FiberglassRV. I'm able to read and reply to posts on my phone (even while in vacation at Universal Studios Orlando.) Looking forward to visiting with everyone next week at Taidnapam.

Thanks for the info on the electrical outlets, guys. I just wanted to make sure I had power now that I've moved up to luxurious rv camping.

Not to confuse things, but Simon & Sharen are cramping in their 2001 ROADTREK (Ok, it's not technically a fiberglass RV trailer, except for its roof - it IS molded fiberglass!!!). We are loaning our friends Tucker & Kathryn our Casita AND our green Toyota, so it will look like we're in site 284, but we're really in site 286 in the Trekkie... capiche. For those who were not at Stub Stewart, we have added to our "fleet" with the Roadtrek Motorhome... but fear not, it's still a CRAMPER!!!

At this point in time we're holding onto both our Roadtrek and our Casita... gives us OPTIONS for our roadtrips. If someday we decide to sell the Casita, surely we'll let you all know.

We look forward to seeing you this weekend at Taidnapum. I think we're arriving Thursday. Woo hoo!

Cheers all,
Sharen & Simon

Sharen,

You wouldn't need to go "cramping" any more if only you'd buy a Bigfoot.

Capiche! And we'll be in site 242 so that should complete the wonderful list that Greg has updated a 'gazillion' times. See you all Thursday.

Talking No more cramping

Simon and Sharon,

The answer is simple, pull the Casita with the Roadtrek!

Voila! No more cramping, and if you have a disagreement, you each can have your own rig!

Cya Thursday.

My schedule has opened up this weekend (unfortunately my wife's not retired yet) so I'll try to make it down late Thursday or early Friday for the weekend. Looking forward to great company....looks like Bigfoot attendance could use a little bolster anyway!

-Maybe some Multi player scrabble on the Ipad ???

Happy cramper tote bags

Sharen has handmade some one-of-a-kind HAPPY CRAMPER TOTE BAGS. If I've attached the Picasa Web album link correctly, you will see images at the link.

The totes are made from 100% colorful cotton fabric that features whimsical illustrations of all kinds of crampers: Airstream Bambis, Winabegos, VW Pop Tops, Teardrops, Class B Motorhomes, tent trailers, etc... Uniquely fun! Each tote is lined with interior pockets and over-the-shoulder straps - perfect for your must-have cramping needs.

I'm bringing a few to Taidnapum, available for $20/each, first come/first serve at site 286.

If the link doesn't work, try visiting
https://picasaweb.google.com/HEATHGA...CIXvj6OM-oimQA#

Happy Cramping everyone... see you tomorrow!

Had a great time at the Taidnapum WANOG this weekend.
Good weather, great friends and lots of new egg owners to chat with.
Gonna have to get Norma and the Girls to the next one. I'll get pictures up soon.
