Kansas Eggstravaganza VII September 3 – 7, 2014

It is hard to believe but Kansas Eggstravaganza VII is only a little over 6 months away. September 3 – 7, 2014

Registration at Farnum Creek Campground opens 6 months prior to the first day of your reservation at: Facility Details Booking Window - FARNUM CREEK, KS - Recreation.gov

In order to do away with the collection someone has taken each year there will be a $3 per person ($6 per trailer maximum) registration fee this year. Pay when you check in.

Check us out at:

Thanks,
Tom

As of 1:00 pm today there are only 9 sites in A-Loop that can be reserved. 27 sites are reserved for the time period, but I only have names for 10 of them. It appears that the people who have reserved sites are familiar with the campground, because most of the available sites are in the full sun down by the lake.

We have tweaked the tentative agenda a little from last year while keeping most of the activities. Mostly just moved the overeating events around so there is only one per day. If we find a fun activity to include on our way to lunch we will add it to the final agenda. Any suggestions you may have are welcome.

As of today there are 30 of 36 sites reserved for the time of the rally. I have 20 who have notified me that they are attending . If you would like a list of who is coming you can e-mail me at tommcrae85@yahoo.com to request a copy.

I am planning to send the next update in mid May and another in August.

Thanks,
Tom

2014 Ks Eggstravaganza

We have just reserved site A020 for Sept 4th thru 7th. We enjoyed our "day" visit last year and will spend a few nights this year. Looking forward to it.

Kansas Eggstravaganza May Update

Kansas Eggstravaganza May Update

Not much new to report. We have 26 rigs signed up plus there are 6 sites reserved that may or may not be part of our group. 4 sites are still available for September 3 – 7 in A-Loop. Sites 19, 27, 28 and 29 are the ones available. There are also 10 first come/first served sites in A-Loop.

This year’s agenda is about the same as last year’s.

We will send out a final update in August.

We will have the Rally Bags again this year so let’s share something we have discovered in our camping experiences. There will be a bag for each Rig so you can (if you wish) add something to each bag. The only rule is: CHEAP! (Tom’s hint: Dollar Store) It can be something you make, something you buy, a useful website, a recipe you really love, a hint for your Egg, an appropriate cartoon, anything you think others would appreciate. The possibilities are endless. We will pass the bags out on Saturday evening and discover what our “treasures” are.

If you have not already done so, please visit our Facebook site and give us a “Like” :

I will be doing an update soon. Need to look at e-mails and forums for changes, cancellations, and additions then finalize the agenda.

We just got home yesterday afternoon from our 79 day, 10,289 mile great Alaska adventure.

The only real change for this year is the $3 per person (max $6 per egg) registration fee. This is to eliminate the collection that has always been taken in prior years.

Thanks,
Tom & Joyce

I have 3 4 lug wheels with 13" tires if there's anybody with an older camper that wants them. Let me know and I'll being them to the rally.

Unhappy Sorry

Tom, Craig and I will not be able to camp in our trailer as we had planned. We found out that we need a new axel. We would like to come out Saturday afternoon and stay through the Rally Bag event. We would like to participate in the bag event and will bring items to place in the bags, if that is permissable. We will also bring a topping for ice cream to share and our own dinner. We were looking forward to camping with everyone. We were to be in A020 and have cancelled our reservation.

Sorry you can not make the whole rally. As we say "Come as soon as you can, stay as long as you can, participate as much or as little as you like."

See you on Saturday

Report on Kansas Eggstravaganza VII

Report on Kansas Eggstravaganza VII; September 3 – 7, 2014. We had 33 rigs plus one couple who came for Saturday even though their camper was down for repairs (axle). 6 were solos so we had 62 people attending. We also had a nice young couple and baby daughter visit to look at Casitas.

We had several who were attending their first rally. We hope they enjoyed it enough to attend other rallies and return to Eggstravaganza next year.

We will be making some major agenda changes for Eggstravaganza VIII so watch for announcements.

Save these dates:

The Pre Rally Get-together: Mon, Sept 7 – Tues, Sept 8, 2015 (no agenda, just visiting and impromptu activities.)
The “Official” Rally: Wed, Sept 9 – Sun, Sept 13, 2015
The Post Rally stay- together: Sun, Sept 13 to ?? , 2015 (no agenda, just more visiting and more impromptu activities.)

Had a great time at the Eggstravaganza.
Met new friends, saw old friends, ate lots of good food and listened to great music.
Tom and Joyce-thanks for a great rally!
