Kii Peninsula,again

In Japan, The national holidays continued in the beginning of May.
The continuous holidays are called "Golden Week".

I went to Hiki River to enjoy canoeing last weekend.
Hiki River is located in the southernmost end in Kii Peninsula.
It is so warm that a coral reef is located in a mouth of a river.

We spent two night at Mukaidaira Campground.
I took many photographs there.I'm glad when you enjoy my photographs.

Sticky threads

I've thoroughly enjoyed photo threads from Aki and Lex -- as well as our other posters stateside.

Maybe we should create a separate thread for these wonderful photos and sticky them so they stay up top on this Campout forum and are easy to find.

Help me convince my wife! I'm reeling her into a Casita purchase (sooner or later). :)

Sticky's not a bad idea...

But you can easily pull up Aki's photos by using the search function (just search for his name, ''Aki'' as the member who posted).

Lex's are a little harder because his name pulls up lots of hits (which is great!), so to get his you need to restrict your search to the appropriate forum (in Lex's case, most of his photos are in General Chat).

Hope this helps.

Aki's Japanese pages at papapaddler.com

Mary,

Sure does... I forgot all about the search function :conf

Aki,

You mind if I put up some of your mods in the mods forum (translated into English)? Of course since it's your page -- if you wanna do it yourself.... it's upto you

Searching for pictures

Use the word "img" as the search phrase and put "lex" or "aki" in the member name field.

That finds all the pictures posted by the member.

Oooo, Morgan.

That's very, very good!

I'd not have thought that ''img'' would work as a search term.

The problem with it is, it will pull up this message if you search for "img" and "morgan" because of the quoted smileys.

Also anyplace I've used a smiley.

Yeah, but still the search results will be small enough that there won't be hundreds of threads like this one to wade through to find those with your photos. (Whew! That was a long sentence; if reading outloud, pause for breath now.) I think I can live with that.

And, meanwhile, folks will notice that you're pretty good at this ''searching'' stuff!

:laugh

Hey, no fair. You added that last while I was responding. And, you're right.

That'll add a few more to the search results. :sad

It'll add more than a few, Mary F. I use the little boogers a lot, just as you do.

Eureka!!!

I just found if you use the phrase "jpg[/img" and the userid it finds the pictures (which are .jpg files) but not the smileys (which are .gif files).

Aki,

None of this has anything to do with the Kii Peninsula, but with finding your pictures and those of others. Sorry.

In case you don't know, eureka means "I have found it."
