Lake Casita Rally Oct 17, 18, 19
We've tried calling Lake Casitas for 3 solid days trying to make reservations for the rally and have continously gotten a busy signal.
We'd appreciate any tips on how to get through to the reservation desk.

Reaching Lake Casitas
Hi Ron and Carolyn
You aren't alone... They only have one phone line - it's a problem... but the only way to reach them is to start dialing and when you get the busy signal, just hit redial, and keep doing that with no breaks - should take about 5 to 10 minutes and you will get their answer machine - hang on and someone will answer......
I'm hoping there is still a space available for you.. if not, there are other campsites close by right at Lake Casitas ....... but let me know if you get a space so I can include you in our group plans... if you don't get a space I will put you on a list for cancellations. Reservations: (805) 649 1122 and we are in the BASS campground.... There are some of us that are staying 4 nights so add any extra nights that you need.
I sure hope this helps you...
Carol

Lake Casitas in Oct '03
I hope we get a space, it will be a great weekend to see all the other Casita trailers at "Lake Casitas", I too could not get through on the phone, so I got their registration form off their web site, printed it off and filled it in, sent it off yesterday. Should be there in a few days and then they are supposed to call me or send back the reservation info... I probably won't get in the Bass Campground, but they are all fairly close it seems on the little map on the web page. http://www.casitaswater.org/lake%20casitas...0recreation.htm
click on reservation info, and go to bottom of page to get the form, its a pdf file (adobe) but prints off easy on most newer computers.
good luck and hope to see you all there.

Lake Casitas Oct 2003
Welcome Doug.
It is a BIG problem making reservations at Lake Casitas with their one phone system... I'm happy to hear you found another way to get in. You might be lucky and be able to still get into BASS.
Maybe there are others who would like to join us. Please email me when you get your campground and space number.
Great idea using the web.

I'm WAS in...
Dangit! I miscalculated dates and I won't be able to make it after all. I will be in Atlanta, not California that weekend. Oh well, I'll just change my reservations to a later weekend.

Only 1 space open (#24) in BASS Campground
As far as I know, there is only one space left in the BASS campground
at Lake Casitas for the nights of October 17 and 18 - this space is #24..
We have 27 trailers with reservations - If you reserve the campspace - please email me.
(If BASS is full, there are other campgrounds at Lake Casitas)

All BASS campground spaces are filled
The very last space at Lake Casitas BASS campground has been filled.
If anyone else would like to attend, there are other campgrounds at Lake Casitas - you can phone for a reservation at (805) 649 1122...... or if you let me know, I will put you on a waiting list for the BASS campground if there happens to be a cancellation. (Hopefully not a Fiberglass trailer cancellation). Please let me know if you make a reservation on your own.
This mini-rally is now 30 trailers strong (and over 65 people) ..... Planning a rally is work but so worthwhile with a response like this. Thanks to all who reserved.
