Our schedule cleared for that weekend and I called this morning. There are at this point no sites available in the park except in "E" campground. So I didn't make reservations. Maybe we will just come up for the day.

I was so hoping there would still be something close available.
Will they let us share campsites?

Bobbie

Lizbeth,

Lori and I have a family thing we have to go to, so we will be leaving early Saturday Morning.

How can we work it out so you can have our space Saturday night?

As far as doubling up in campsites... The big answer is NO. I just phoned to check that out .. She said they won't allow two trailers on a site, but if someone is staying in a tent, they can put the tent up on someones space.

Lizbeth .. why don't you sign up for the EGRET campground. I know there is one trailer there for sure, and they won't be miving to BASS. I also know that Lauren was thinking about coming so she would most likely be in EGRET too.

I also know that Eileen in Site 3 is going to cancel...

Mike, I don't know how that would work. I would rather go for just Sat night than not at all!

Carol, I wonder how I could get the site that is going to be canceled? Could I just take their reservations and pay them for them?

We will also have another couple with us that will be tent camping that want to check out the FG rvs

I am unable to make the rally at Lake Casitas.
I have space #3 for Thursday 10/25 through Sunday 10/25 (nights).

Eileen was wonderful! She did a three way call to the lake and now we have B7 (not B3) for Fri and Sat nights.

Carol, we are bringing our friends Steve & Rosemary.

I'm so excited it worked out!

Hi Eileen or Liz

Do you know if site 3 is still available since you ended up in 7?

**** (3 is a Host space not available for camping) *****

Liz... I'm so happy that you were able to get a space...

Are Steve and Rosemary staying in a tent with you?

The gal that answered the phone said site 3 is not available, it's a host site and that Eileen was always in site 7. It must have been a mix up from the beginning.

Steve and Rosemary are tenting on our site. We'll say they are "the kids". har, har!

Thanks Liz.. That solves that problem - and you won't have any trouble putting the tent up in 7.

It will be good to see you guys! Glad you made it in.

I took some vacation time, and Robert & I will arrive on Thursday and leave on Monday. Bob & Roger will be with us on Saturday and Sunday only. They have modified their Suburban for car camping in a similar way I did my Honda Odyssey.

Several people are arriving on Thursday evening... I don't have an exact count but I believe on Thursday night we will have about 18 to 20 trailers.

More time, more fun for everyone.

For anyone that has missed getting a space in the BASS campground, I believe there will be a cancellation ..... Check for Space 37.

Thanks to Gina .. she knows this site. Only good for a tent....

That site would take a very skilled driver to put a trailer in. It's DOWN and around, almost at water level.

Good for a Tent

Not Good for a trailer

I'm hoping to see someone get that space.
Yes, my plans have changed and I cannot attend

I have cancelled my site (B37), a tent site. It does not have hook ups, but might accommodate a trailer.....

someone with a 4wd could do it. It is down below the regular campground level, and sort of around the campsite next to it. You would be backing down hill with a curve for several yards.

It's a really nice spot. I envy it...

Hey, Frederick and Robert. We have something else in common besides the orphan cats.

We also once modified our Odyssey for bus camping too! Tao bought a bunch of plastic boxes and filled them with the tools he needed to do an equipment installation in Reno. He folded the hatch, removed the back seat, and put the boxes inside. He put a board over the boxes and an old mattress from a sofabed over that and, viola, instant camper!

In fact, that trip is why we decided to buy a trailer....my back still hurts!

I think factory sofa-bed mattresses are made to discourage quests from staying very long.
