Lake Casitas Oct 17-19, 2003

Jim and I have found several people interested in returning to Lake Casitas for another mini-rally. The weekend will be October 17-19.. you can also reserve before and after these dates.

I believe the cost is still $24 a night plus a $6.50 non-refundable fee. Please let me know by email or a post here if you are interested in Lake Casitas ... I will need to reserve several sites. Lake Casitas is between Ventura and Ojai in California.

I figured for those that came last year, if everyone brings the same food item for the pot luck, it will make things easier (unless you want to bring something else then you need to let me know). I will send a reminder later on this for all that sign up.

I need to call in to Lake casitas next week (April 14) in order to get our group into the same campground as last year, I will be phoning to reserve spaces for those that have signed up for the weekend of Oct 17-19. I will reserve Friday and Saturday nights - if anyone would like nights before or after, please email me or post here... (you will then need to phone Lake Casitas after I give you a reservation number to put your deposit down)..

Those signed up: Maggie and Wes, Lou and Lora, Barbara and Charlie, Lori and Mike, Ken and Marion, Bill and Darlene, Marie and Kathy, Roland and Susan, Jim and Shelley, Patty, and Ginny, and Jim and I.

I also have Maybe's: Carol and Jack, Elvin and Sally, and Ruth. Please let me know if you have decided for sure. I will try to hold extra spaces but I can't promise.

Please let me know if I have missed anyone in the lists above.

Lake Casitas (for those that haven't been) is between Ventura and Ojai in California. Everyone is welcome to join us - we had a great turnout last year, and the weather was perfect - Please email or post here if you like me to reserve a space for you.

Please let me know by April 12th any changes or additions.

Reservations were phoned in yesterday for our mini-rally at Lake Casitas for nights October 17 and 18. I am holding two spaces for anyone that would like to join us. They will probably be the only two ..... the campground was 95% full as of yesterday.

Lake Casitas Rally Weekend of October 17 to 19, 2003....

The very last space at Lake Casitas BASS campground has been filled. If anyone else would like to attend, there are other campgrounds there . You can phone for a reservation at (805) 649 1122...... $24 a night plus a non-refundable fee of $6.50.. (Lake Casitas is in Southern California between Ventura and Ojai)...

They only have one phone line - it's a problem... but the only way to reach them is to start dialing and when you get the busy signal, just hit redial, and keep redialing with no breaks - should take about 5 to 10 minutes and you will get their answer machine - hang on and someone will answer...... OR if you let me know, I will put you on a waiting list for the BASS campground if there happens to be a cancellation.

Please let me know if you make a reservation. You can post here or email me. We have several things planned including a potluck dinner, and we would like to be able to include you.

From the north: Take the 101 Freeway to Highway 150 East in Carpinteria. Continue on 150 to Lake Casitas.

From the south: Take the 33 Freeway North to Highway 150. Turn left on Highway 150 and continue to Lake Casitas. The course is on the right after Bryant Road

This mini-rally is now 30 trailers strong (and over 65 people) ..... Thanks to all who reserved.

We now have a space available at Lake Casitas for our fun weekend..... This space (#56) can be reserved by calling direct to Lake Casitas... (805) 649 1122...... $24 a night plus a non-refundable fee of $6.50..
