Hello! I'm going to be driving right by the lake on my road trip to Cali from Oklahoma with my scamp 13. I don't know the exact dates yet, but the time frame might match up during this rally. If it does I'll probably swing over and say hi for an hour or so.

Sounds great . . . . visitors are always welcome.

Maybe you can 'plan' your trip so that your day's travel will end at the Rally? We always have great pot luck dinners. I posted the link to the Rally with map and pictures below.

I am new to this site and am currently contemplating a purchase of a FGRV. Most people suggest attending a rally to get an idea of the different trailers out there. Someone suggested attending as a tent camper. I know some places do not allow tent camping within the RV sites. Is it possible to attend this rally as a tent camper?
If so, I will talk to my husband and let you know our details.

Hi Elisabeth;

Tent camping is permitted at Lake San Antonio (Harris Creek).

In 2008, Hubby and I, went to the Lake San Antonio FiberglassRV Rally. We had decided to purchase a new Casita Spirit. After the Rally we ended up buying a Liberty. Actually seeing the trailers, sitting in them and talking to the owners help you to make an informed buying decision.
