WA | Maryhill in May

I case anyone wants to join us, we just made reservations at Maryhill State Park for the weekend before Memorial Day 2011 - May 20-22.
Last year we had a small impromptu gathering and a lot of fun in the area (there are pictures from last year if you click the link below our signature).

Norma and I will be in site 50 from Friday 5/20 to Sunday 5/22/2011.

Are you sure you are in space # 36? As of this evening it still shows that it is available? Maybe you are in space #46?

P.S. to Barb: We are going to try the spots on the back side of campground this year AWAY from the river in case we get those cold Gorge winds again.

Thanks for the heads up, but our copy of the reservation, printed off of the reservation web page, says site 36, ariving Friday, leaving Monday??????

I guess I better get ahold of the reservation folks :-(

Maryhill State Park for the weekend before Memorial Day 2011 - May 20-22.

I just reserved site #9 for May 19 to 23. All the sites I liked that I looked at yesterday as I left Peach Beach were taken. But taken by other Fiberglass trailer people. I did see one Casita camped yesterday as I drove through.

The weather this week was lovely! Sunny and in the mid 80s. Only one day of wind. Maybe we'll get lucky next year for our SW Washington version of NOG.

Since we had to leave early last year (a tree fell down in our front yard!), we're going to try again! Site 43 Thu - Sun. We highly recommend the petroglyph hike at Columbia Hills State Park (about 14 mi east). Used to be called Horse Thief State Park. It is a guided tour and only available Fri and Sat. You need to make reservations well in advance, they only take 20 at a time - we slipped in because they had a cancellation. Maryhill Winery is on the way

Its getting very close to camping next weekend on the 20th for some of us. Depending on the weather we will have jelly rolls on Friday and Potluck on Saturday at Paul and Norma's campsite (or unless there is a better one). Potluck bring anything you want.

Sorry folks, we are booked in and really looking forward to it, but it is not to be. Vicki has recovered extremely well from her recent surgery, but my time as a nurse (fortunately I have the legs for it) put us way behind and there is just no way we can get away. But pension time is coming soon, and with any luck, we can start to hit all these wonderful events. Great people so I know it will be a great time, raise a glass for us, and enjoy.
