I'm thinking of either doing country green beans or my BBQ baked beans. Either would be great with the fish!

That's right! Didn't your awning do a flyer last year at the fish fry?

Thank you Karen. Yes, Steve. Karen, You were lucky, you had enough hands to hold yours down. Maybe this year, the wind and rain will be gone.

I read about flooding and sandbagging of the Wabash river in southern Indiana. Since I'm leaving for Prophetstown (which is located on the Wabash) this Saturday and making a week of it, I thought I'd just check in with the campground. They say everything's fine upstream their way.

I think all this rain is over and I'm predicting 10 days of sunny mid-70's weather starting this Saturday. Of course, I don't have any grounds for predicting that other than wishful thinking

Steve,
Give us a weather report, the sun is shining here for now. Need to be back on the road, the Nest has been parked to long.

Well, I arrived about 2:00pm. Setting up takes longer but that's because I'm still recovering and bending to the ground takes a bit. It's partly cloudy and current temp is 67F at about 8pm.

No water issues, despite the Wabash being above flood stage. Some of the trails down by the water are closed, however.

Tomorrow is supposed to be nice but Monday and Tuesday are expected to be rainy. I'll just wander around the local towns. Temps are expected to be in the upper 60's and low 70's.

Sounds like cool temps and possible showers over the weekend.

I see that the park has a 3 p.m. check-in time. Does anyone know if they stick strictly to that time or can you come in a bit earlier? If not, we'll just bum around the area for a bit.

Generally, (don't know about this park) it's only a problem early if your site is occupied.

I have the Trillium all cleaned up and checked out; will start packing it up later today. Can't wait to hit the road!

I see that the check-in time is 2 p.m., not 3 p.m. I mis-read the general info for all Indiana state parks. The sites look nice and level, but trees are young, so it could be a bit windy on the prairie!

They are all very level and it's been windy since I arrived on Saturday. It's been hazy sunshine all today with the high being in the mid 80s. The breeze made the trailer comfy.

As usual, my end of the loop is nearly empty except for the monster motorhome situated right next to me. How do I attract these guys? Saturday I thought I saw him try to get the little freak of nature he calls a dog to pee on my satellite dish! Sigh. Jim Meeks is scheduled to be in that site so I know this guy won't be staying all that long.

A white cargo trailer pulled into a site across the loop from me late this afternoon. He opened up the back doors and the trailer was filled with bunk beds. I guess it takes all kinds of trailers.

We will be in site 162(last site avail). Our first rally of any kind. We are new to this and looking forward to it very much. We hope to get in early Fri, and checking out Monday. Sue is planning on a "potato" salad for Sat eve. How many do we have coming?

If I'm counting correctly, it looks like around 20 trailers will be there. I know the reservation website says nothing is available anymore, but I don't know for sure how many are with our group.

Kevin,
I count 20 also plus 2 guests, nice size group.
Steve,
Remind me, do we need to stop and fill our water tank at this park?

There is a fresh water site coming in. But there is a water post (threaded connection, no water thief required) right at the end of you site but across the road.
