Ray can probably provide more detail but I remember that the entrance seemed like it was out in left field, so to speak.

The Prophetstown property map shows how you enter from the southwest edge of the park.

DNR: Prophetstown

It seems that the park entrance isn't where it should be, kind of a long drive as I recall. Best advice I can give at this point, is to try and follow their signs.

OK, after looking at the map on the DNR guide, I've got it now. Instead of turning toward the town of Battle Ground northeast off I-65, you need to go west toward LaFayette and then south to find the main gate. We wondered how those people on the road below us at the overpass got there! Thanks!

We've just reserved #222. Mary and I will arrive Thursday, stay until Sunday. I can hear the sizzle of the fish already!

Was wondering if anyone would be willing to show off their scamp or casita? My husband and I would love to check one out and see if that is what we think we would like before we buy one. We live in Indiana about 45 minutes from where you are meeting.

Absolutely. You get used to showing off our fiberglass trailer at gas stations, rest stops, etc. We've had people follow us down the expressway to get a peek at our next stop. I'm sure most fiberglass owners are not only pleased, but proud to show off their rigs.

You are more than welcome to drop in and take a look at our trailers, and if you come Saturday you might as well stay for the fish fry!

Is it too early to discuss the Saturday night menu? I am sooooo ready to start the camping season. I hope the rain gets over by then. I will be making black bean soup for the fish fry.

I also have some new mods to show everyone.

2 weeks and 2 days to go !!!!

Karen

We're planning on baking up a large batch of Chex Mix and brings some cups so there will be an appetizer available for the fish, not that one is really needed.
