I leave in 3 weeks for 45 days thru ID, MT, WY, SD, NE, CO, AZ, NV, CA and will finish off at NOG. So if I look a bit travel worn; toss me a bar of soap and pour a bucket of water on me . . .LOL

Lily and I will be at Waterloo.

This time we should make it, as two years ago in October I ran into snow just as I got to the Siskiyou's and turned around.

I decided to change my plans and combine two trips. We'll first go to Burney Falls mid Sept, explore NE California then on into Oregon over the Cascades to Waterloo then back home. Any bad weather will just keep us in Oregon longer which is fine with Lily and I.

We are in 25A. Looks like our group has just about all the campsites.

There was only 12A with hookups, a handicap site, and all the 8 No-hook up sites available after I made my reservation.

Simon and I have been slow-pokes about signing up for the OCT 2010 NOG... so, in going to WATERLOO's reservations page I see it's ALMOST all booked - the hook-up sites are filled.

So we secured site #14A, with no hook-ups, and we'll make the best of it. It's rare that we "dry cramp" - let's see if we remember how!

We look forward to the AUTUMN NOG gathering! Such a beautiful time of year in the PNW.

Cheers,

Bummer! Tried to reserve a site, but it looks like it's booked up! If anybody needs to cancel, please send me a PM...I'll take over your reservation, if that's possible!

How about B loop? It is not reservable, but might be worth taking a chance on getting a spot.

Will probably try that...even if we only make a day out of it, it would be worth the drive down.

We also do not have a reservation, as we aren't sure about going since we will be heading out for a two week trip two weeks later (takes a lot of doing & planning to leave for two weeks in winter). But if we go will also hope for an spot in the non-reservation area - I mean how many folks can be camping in October? We camped in the new Linn County Park - River Bend, further up river, in May and it was practically empty - partially due to lousy weather.

With these little trailers; is it possible to double up on a site? I know they charge for it but if the other loop gets full; this might be an option.

Did you get a site?? I'm trying to keep the listing current on the first page. If not, I'll just add you folks and Penney and Mike at the bottom, and fill in the particulars later.

woooohooooo, more NOGgers!

Dave good idea, unfortunately the sites aren't big enough to double up. We could park two trailers, but there isn't any overflow parking for tugs... at least not close by.

In the past, we had folks parked in the tent sites and the camp hosts let us run extension cords to the power sites. No water tho. I wouldn't guarantee they'd allow us to do it this time either. But if anyone is willing to risk it, there are still tent sites open in A loop.

Last time we had a NOG in the fall at Waterloo, the fisherpersons were not happy.... They expected to come into the campground and find a place to camp (B Loop was closed for the season). The county ended up opening B Loop for them and everyone was happy. I see it's open all the time now. However, just like all gatherings... you'll need a mobility device... bicycle, skateboard, etc. to move from loop to loop.... it can be a bit of a walk!
