Add two more to the list!

Wolf and Martha Hanisch are planning to come up on the 16th (Thursday) and leave on Monday. If you wind up assigning spots, it might help you to know that we have a Handicapped Permit and could use one of those sites. We are OK with dry camping, and I am sure that all sites are just fine. Looking forward to seeing everyone! Almost forgot to tell you that we are from San Jose, CA !!

Hi Martha, Hi Wolf -

That is GREAT!!

We have absolutely zero to do with spots - this "late" in the season the State Parks go to first come, first served. We will be in the Rim Campground.

*sigh* I wish this wasn't so far away, I really could use a camping trip.

I hope everyone has a safe enjoyable trip!

*sigh* All of these great rallys in No CAL, Oregon and WA conflict with my retriever field events. I really want to see if Donna D. looks like her Avatar!

I also want to show Joy my fresh water hook-up system.

I'll be thinking of you all as well!!

Jane, I don't. That chick is richer and better looking than me. The Oregon Gathering and the NOGs are always at the same time every year. I realize you can't be two places at once, but maybe just ONE time if you plan ahead you can attend one of the events in Oregon. Would love to meet you too!!

I will definitely try to make something next year. And I'll make Lizbeth follow me up there!

The chick in my Avatar is thinner than me! But my dog is much better looking than the one in the Avatar. Go figure!

Hi Gang, Less than a week until the Burney Falls Gathering. On page 1, post #1 of this thread is the very latest roster update. No more will be coming because I am NOW at Burney Falls.

Of course, more Maybees and Want to Bees are welcome to join us. No reservations are accepted OR required - so come along if you desire the companionship of fellow "Eggers". - - Earl

Hello all...

Got a phone call from Earl earlier tonite - he is up in Burney Falls...

according to him there is "lots of room" (conforms what the ranger told me earlier this summer).

He is in the Rim campground, space #28.

No cell reception in the park. Water - SOME faucets are threaded for hoses, most are not.

Newly constructed restrooms / showers. $0.50 for five minutes. (The showers - don't think they regulate the time in the restrooms. At least not yet.

Shorter rigs (13' or so) ##CAN## use the tent sites.

Lots of trees and shade

The two spots w/ electricity are taken. (Go figger).

See you all there - Michele and I are headed out tomorrow. Will ##TRY## to get on the road around 10ish.

From Galt, Early took 7 hours to get there - INCLUDING "a half hour nap" (right.....) and a lunch stop. MapQuest sez it is 4 hours + a few minutes of windshield time from Galt, and we are 20 minutes from the main Sacramento interchange - where CA-99, I-80 and US-50 all meet).

Drive safely - and see you there!

Alan

Regretfully, it does not look like I will be able to attend. SO Christine's father is being scheduled for surgery asap. I need to be here.

I will look forward to the next one.

HEY, HEY, We're on our way. What's the latest time that they admit new campers? We'll probably overnight in Redding and drive in early on Friday.

Good luck with the Surgery, Charlie.

Robert, for a guy with Waters as a last name...

You will both be missed.

Greetings ...

... to all our fellow 'eggers' at beautiful Burney Falls. Just wanted to say 'hi' and let you know we've been thinking about all the fun you are having together. Our family events were a blast ... too bad we couldn't be in two places at once. Hmm - "beam me up, Scotty?"

We know everyone has enjoyed a great weekend and wish you all safe travels as you leave the rally. Looking forward to seeing some of you down the road, eh? Hugs, Leslie 'n Dave
