Northern Oregon Gathering, Fall Event

Yeah, the goat...welllll.

No rituals, no defined schedule, lots of lawn chair and vistin' time. Only thing you need to do is make a NAME TAG. We had a bunch of really creative name tags last time... hope everyone remembers to bring them.

Currently, two members that have reservations have their trailers up for sale (Pat & Paul - BigFoot 5th Wheel, and Ron N. 2007 17.5 BigFoot), both have made reservations and are in the thick of things in A Loop (Sites A33 & A35), if either can't make it I hope they'll post and let folks know. It would cost $6 to change your reservation to a different site, but you may want to do it.

It appears we're going to have a bunch of newbies And in two months we'll all meet.

Friday, bring your own food... weiner roast at the camp fire

Saturday Dinner standard Pot Luck Faire, bring something to share and your own table service, etc.

Sunday Breakfast: this is the list Nancy had from the Spring Event
Here's what we need:

[b]Workers:
6 cooks
6 clean-up people (who will actually stick around and clean a pan or a grill)
1 gatherer of supplies (a Sunday morning job)
[b]Cooking Stuff:
4 two-burner stoves (with propane)
6 large frying pans or griddles and spatulas
2 large mixing bowls
[b]Food:
Eggs
Pre-cooked sausage links
Cheese
Other breakfast side dishes like cut-up fruit or sweet rolls, etc

Dee will cook again and we'll bring 2 dozen eggs for Sunday.

Likewise we had great fun at Ft Langley last weekend... look forward to the Northern OR adventure. We'll then tell you about our nightmare crossing back into the US war story. Argggggghhhhhhhhh... how to spoil an otherwise idyllic weekend.

Byron, we will be heading up north Friday early to work, so we won't be there for the Saturday or Sunday events but I hope you two can make it to the Thursday night gathering in space 20 and even bring some of your dutch oven cooking.

Hi Donna - This is Gayle and Larry Husted. We find that we will be unable to attend the NOG this year but we have Site A40 reserved. We will be cancelling this reservation, but we just wanted to give you a heads up in case you knew someone who might want a site. We should be able to make it to the spring NOG and of course in July at Bullards Beach.

Of course, I don't handle the reservations... that's through Reserve America, I just keep track of who's coming and where they'll be parked.

Learn??? Carrie and I were "newbies" last Spring when we attended the Spring NOG. Only thing we had to learn was how to keep our arms from being shaken off by all the people welcoming us... (and how to keep from losing our voice talking to everyone) You will have a hoot. We are not going to be able to come this Fall as military duty precludes that. BUT, looking forward to next Spring to meeting you and seeing all our other new friends.

A while back I accused Donna of sneaking into my house and checking my work schedule to be sure I couldn't attend the NOG's. I'm still not convinced she isn't but I've out-maneuvered her: I lost my job!

PJ, Sashimi the Shih Tzu of Doom and I will be in A-37 Thursday-Sunday. I'd made the reservation back in July just in case I could find someone to cover for me. Worked out well, I'd say.
