Sorry to say we can't come...battling health issues AGAIN! Jim's sure that a pom martini would make me well but since that's not my poison I'll never know. I'm going to be calling the park tomorrow morning and relinquishing site 30, which has hook-ups. So if you're interested in moving to site 30 - give them a call.

See ya in Bandon.

Hey you Golfers!!! I'm sorry I can't be there. I would have loved to play golf with you folks.

Say, I'm not sure where Mallard Creek golf course is exactly but there is a course about half way from the campground to Lebanon on the left side of the road as you head towards Lebanon.

I don't recall the name but I doubt it's Mallard Creek. It doesn't look like a Championship course as Mallard Creek calls it's self. I think it looked like just 9 holes, I may be wrong. I think it would be a nice little course to play.

Mallard Creek Golf Course is approximately 2.2 miles from Waterloo Park. Down Waterloo Road, across the river (south fork of the Santiam), and on the left side of the road. Joy...you ought to download "Google Earth". It is a great site that will show you EXACTLY where things are. Just type any place of interest...say, the Great Wall of China" and it will zoom right in on it. Fascinating, just fascinating! If you type in the golf course address, it will zoom right to it as well! Have fun with it.

Well, then definitely the golf course I mentioned is not Mallard Creek 'cause it's right off Highway 20, on the left as you head towards Lebanon.

Just another choice for you.

Dear Donna,

You did a bang up job organizing this wonderful springtime event. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and are most appreciative. Nancy, thanks for the fabulous breakfast/brunch today!

I wanted to thank everyone for your very sweet attention to Homer (the red Golden Retriever) and for your concern about Roger (the blonde), who broke open his stitches on Friday night and was confined in the car most of the weekend.

We got him into the vet this afternoon and she put in 4 staples to reclose the wound on his leg, and he is just fine.

Francine had a grand time and we will see most of you (hopefully) in Bandon in July.

Eric, Lorn, Francine

Another great nog! Thanks, Donna, and all of you who brought such great food and other things to make for such a great gathering. Chari - the fire barrel worked great! And so much fun to see all of the stoves and cooking toys. Lorn and Eric, I am so glad to hear that Roger is doing better. Homer was a love. Peter, we were all so impressed that Lex stayed with the chair so well, even though he moved sites slightly once in a while. Per and Kathy, it was fun to see all of your modifications. They are beautiful. You inspired me to think of a couple of things I could do. Thanks, Judy and Bob, for showing us your handiwork, too. Overall it was a wonderful weekend, the weather superb, food delicious and company outstanding. We hope to see you all in Bandon!

Larry and I also had a great time. Glad we didn't camp somewhere on Sunday though and came straight home, I ended up in the dentist chair first thing this morning. YES all the food was great (wish my tooth would have let me eat more). Larry and I will be back next year. It was nice to meet all of you and look at your eggs. Looking forward to next year.

For those who asked....here is the recipe for my Pomegranate Martini's! Enjoy....

Pomegranate Martinis

One cocktail shaker full of ice
Add:
1/2 cup Pomegranate juice (4 oz)
1/4 cup Vodka (2 oz) (I use Absolut Citron)
1/8 cup Cointreau (1 oz)
Juice of 1/2 large lime
Shake, shake, shake…
Strain into two martini glasses with sugared rims
Add a splash of any clear carbonated beverage (Sprite, 7 up, ginger ale, etc.)

Enjoy!!!
