I just called Linn County Parks and changed my site from 32 to 51....y'all can come sit behind my trailer I was concerned someone other than our group would snag it....and we'd be eating in their backyard!

FYI, site 53 is still available and so now is 32!

So the question is, if anyone has access to an old washtub like Linda and Taylor had, if they don't come. It seems like a person could get one at an applicance repair place or a junk yard. The wash tub part of an old washing machine sure worked good to spread the heat around to everyone instead of the heat going straight up.

L&D, I've also been thinking about it! There's a junky used appliance place not to far from my home....I'll stop in over the weekend and see if I can "talk" them out of something. I'm cheap, don't want to pay for something, but ya don't know if ya don't ask...right?

FYI: I paid $8 bucks a piece for the ones I got. It took the guy a little work to take them out of the machines.

If you have to pay a little for the offical NOG fire pit, that can even go to the Bullard beach gathering, we can pass the hat. I am willing to chip in. And we can bring some wood.

Thanks Mike for letting me know a possible price. Taylor did say getting the tub out of the ole washer was a bit of a bugger.

L&D thanks too for the offer of passing the hat...I don't think the tub is going to break the bank....and yeah, Bullard's would benefit too!

It's a washing machine TUB, it acts like a chimney and the smoke goes up instead of following me everywhere Plus, the metal gets heated up all the way around and it doesn't matter where you sit, you stay warm (better than standing and playing "rotisserie."). The holes in the tub provide plenty of viewing pleasure and the wood/coals are contained.
