I saw one of those tubs for the first time in Markleville, CA last year. The guy had horseshoes bolted on to the sides which made it look less like a washer than usual.

Hello all.

Today I registered for site 59A. Should be a good time with all of you attending. Can hardly wait for April, now.

See you then!

Hi Everyone-

Just wanted all of you to know----we are hoping to be able to come see everyone in April but will not beable to commit for a month or so. Same goes for Bob and Judy Webb. We will make reversations just as soon as we know. Hopefully there will still be a couple of sites left by then.

We hope you guys can make it. Even if the last few spots on the one side are gone, there are spots 4, 6, 8, 10 and 11 that should be close to the gathering. And any spot in loop A is close enough to walk to the gathering spot in just a few minutes.

Hi Ellen,

I'm glad to hear that you hopefully will make it. We look forward to seeing you again. I wonder if it would be a good idea to reserve a spot and then cancel it or let someone else have it if you can't come?? Hope to see you!

Thanks Mike for letting me know a possible price. Taylor did say getting the tub out of the ole washer was a bit of a bugger.

L&D thanks too for the offer of passing the hat...I don't think the tub is going to break the bank....and yeah, Bullard's would benefit too!

I'll let everyone know what I find out!
Thanks Donna and Kathie for volunteering to get the fire pit. I talked with a couple of folks in Eugene. They cautioned me to get a stainless steel tub, not a porcelain one. The porcelain will chip and also give off toxic fumes.

I have found a stainless steel tub at a used appliance spot for $15. I also found a porcelain one for $10 but wouldn't recommend it. I'd be happy to get the stainless one and bring to both the Northern Gathering and Bullard's if you don't have any luck, Donna, or if you choose to just have me do it.

I'll go to the appliance junk place on Saturday, and get a stainless one if possible. If not, I'll post my findings on the forum and thanks for the offer.

Charlene- Thanks for the input, we are thinking the same thing. I just have not gotten around to calling for a site yet. Just wondering---how many of you are coming in earlier than Friday?

We gave wrong dates on our earlier post. Will arrive Wednesday, April 25th and depart Tuesday, May 1st.

We are going to check out the campground tomorow if the roads aren't too icy...not to camp, but just to look around. We have not been there for years and remember it as very nice. We have other errands in the area, and like to cover as much as possible when we go to the Valley. April can't get here too soon!

We will be leaving shortly to add another 2000 miles to our travel trailer. We will hit four states as well as snow and sunshine. I wanted to check in to say that as far as a breakfast goes, we can bring a dozen eggs, and sausage. For dinner, we will bring some dogs and a desert type thing for Friday and a salad type dish for the Saturday potluck. Hopefully we will be able to stay on line with our new broadband card but just in case I wanted to let people know we are interested in those and other activites. We can't wait for April either. Vivian, how did the campground look?

I spoke too soon about going to Waterloo. We got a late start and ran out of time before we had to start back to get over the mountain before dark. Winter days are just too short! Will try again in a couple of weeks.

Vivian, who wishes she was going on a 2,000 mile trip too!

OK OK Carrie (the Wench) and I have finally decided we need to get off our lazy duffs and join the forum---(did that a couple days ago)--Now I need to quit procrastinating and register for the Northern Ore gathering..... Am I reading the site map correctly when I saw some sites with no hookups? That would do us nicely as we always drycamp. Also, then we wouldn't take a hookup from someone who needs one.

Which site do you suggest?

THANX, Larry

Yahoo, another one to join our happy group.
As for sites. The plan is to the potluck and camp fire will be at site 51 (Donna D's site). All are good sites. Nothing is very far from the action. So take your pick of what's left.
See ya there.

Yep, Larry they're all good sites, and none are far from the action. If you want hookups...look at the bottom part of the map...down around 32, etc.

If you want to be in the thick of things and don't want any kind of hookups sites 54A and 52A are available...so is 36A and 38A further down the row.

Let us know what you decide. And welcome to NOG!!

52 and 54A back up to a meadow that is great for running dogs and 56 and 58 are on the inside very close to the main campfire. So it would depend on wether you want to be in the thick of things or need just a little space.

38A it is. Made the reservation this AM. The wench (AKA MS Right-first name "Always") voted for the one closest to facilities. See you all there... Larry
