Kip, I just checked the email confirmation I got and it doesn't show my site either. It looks like a very standard form that is spit out by the computer when they put in the people's names, dates and amount of deposit, total, etc. without a place for someone to fill in the site number. I'm noting folks' site numbers on my list.

Jean, I had folks site numbed from posts on the forum and Reba at HH confirmed that was what she had, also when I made my reservations.

Just talked with the manager at HH. She is on top of this and waiting for request and instructions from us.

She said I am confirmed on site 922.

I was told yesterday evening that it has A TREE! It just don't get much better than that!

Hi all,

The Cherokee rally is shaping up nicely. Dates are Thursday- Sunday October 11-14.
Jean Clark is taking the helm on this one so far. LindaLee is Jean's Pardner.
No doubt the two ladies will make this thing "Happen" as it should. Even though we got a late start, several folks have already made reservations. And more are showing interest.
We now have 6 registered and some more interested.

The club house has been reserved for us Friday and Saturday night. Friday night will be a "whatever" evening. Saturday night will be for the pot luck, if you want to participate. .
This rally will be low keyed with plenty of time to explore the area or even go to the Casino (3 miles away) and do your thing there, or watch my wife (Ann) attempt to win back the $15 she lost last year to the penny slot machines. There is also a large flea market just outside of town. Last year there was an antique auto show of some kind a FEW MILES AWAY. And of course the scenery is gorgeous that time of year. I understand the town of Cherokee is worth seeing also.

The manager at Happy Holiday said they are beginning to receive a lot of reservations for that time of year, due to the foliage. So to get a site near the group, she suggest to call them soon, tell them you are with the EGG group. That will make you eligible for the 20% discount when we reach a count of 10. We are nearing that now. . That 20% will likely be applied at check-in as it was last year.

Be sure to come here and let Jean know you have registered, which site, and where you are from. She may also need your first name for one of her famous Name Tags.


P.S. Yes it takes a long time to loose $15, one penny at a time!

Count me in too. Just booked site #85 from 10/10 - 10/14. May come in a hollow shell with an air mattress and camp stove, but I'll be there. Can't wait, this will be my first time!

That makes 8! This is shaping up to a good turnout! With a U-haul and a Love Bug, we are going to get to see FG's I know I haven't seen before. Looking forward to it!

Welcome to the new folks joining us. We are getting close to the minimum number (10) needed for the 20% discount.

I just went to a site that lists coming events in Cherokee (Cherokee NC Calendar of Events) and it lists these events.

Oct. 12 & !3, BIG Rig, Antique Truck Show, Acquoni Expo Center

Oct. 13, Fall Harvest Craft Festival, 9:30 am- 5 pm, Old Mill 1886)

Looks like something for everyone!

I drove past that truck show last year. It looked very interesting, a lot of people there. I may have to check it out this time.

Just made res. for #72 on Oct 12, 13 so I could be closer to a cabin, which I also also signed up for, to shelter my other half! But, I am just a few sites away unless more eggs sign up.

Planning on Fri and Sat only as I'll be on the way to the Natl. Park. Sounds like great activities, in absolutely GLORIOUS surrondings! Am looking forward to meeting you guys. OK, now, come on 20% discount!!!

Jean Thank You for taking over it seems like you have the hands up on everything Im not sure Ray and I will be able to do the Rally this year we are having some family health problems that came up after I posted the first time but it sounds like you are getting pretty many reservations already. Jean, I just posted this question on the Casita site but see there is a thread here too, so I'll post it here too :-)
Jean, If we could only get their the nights of the 12th and 13th, would it count toward the number for the discount?

I responded on the casita forum but will here, too. Yes, I am sure booking the dates of Oct. 12 & 13 will count as a booking for the discount. Once I count 10 booked per the posts here and on the Casita forums I'll call the campground to verify the count against what they have. Please call to make the reservation and mention the egg campers so you are added to our list.

Cindy, We were wondering if there was a problem that was keeping you tied up. Sorry to hear life has thrown your family yet another complication. It would be great if you and Ray can drop in at some point but we understand family comes first. Looks like this rally is again attracting some out-of-the-ordinary trailers (last year it was the Lil Snoozys). Not that my Casita is "ordinary" you understand. Take care.

Jean has reserved the Rec Building for us on Friday and Saturday night.

I believe Saturday is for the Pot Luck. And Friday for an official getting aquainted session with maybe some music from anyone that has a voice or musical device!

We look forward to meeting you, Rhonda, and Bentley.

We have a couple of 20# pups that travel with us.
So Bently will have some friends ifin he is sociable.
