Whoops... don't have the VW Eurovan Camper any more (well, actually I do, but it's for sale on consignment at Luxe Autohaus in Portland). I NOW have a 2003 VW Rialta. It does have a fiberglass composite body so...
I'm thinking of just showing up that Friday night and seeing if there is a cancellation or if the handicapped spaces are taken. You may consider my new-to-me-RV part of the Saturday tour if you'd like to see it.

Hey Ron, we used to have a Rialta, before we had the Casita! Now we have a Casita AND a Chevy Falcon... we just sold the Roadtrek. We play musical crampers... kinda like Chuck & Deb, but we do trailers and mini-motorhomes. And yes, the mini-motorhomes do have molded fiberglass roofs. But like Donna Dee says, "It's more about the people than about the rigs!" :-)

Ron, the park is currently full and both handicap sites in A Loop are reserved with NOG participants. Your best bet is to try and make reservations in B Loop, there may be a handicap site available there.

Okay?
Well, I'd like to join you starting Friday afternoon and I don't have a reservation OR a "stickie". At least, I don't THINK I have a stickie. Oh, alright, it's a "smallish" motorhome. If I attend, are you going to ban me to the outer perimeter like the Glass Egg group did at Ft. Langley a couple of weeks ago. They SAID it wasn't about the trailer but it was about THE PEOPLE who attended. They lied.

Thanks, Donna. I'll give it a try. Sorry to have come off as so negative in my last post but, at Ft. Langley, I was the last site at the end and was told that because I no longer had a fiberglass trailer that I would have to go there. It was really great seeing old friends again but that was my last meet with that group. Next summer it will be the Sons of Norway meet where the folks there don't care about what you're dragging or driving...they want to meet with friends who don't care what you have.

Ahh Ron, we don't really care either. It's the lil plastic trailers that bring us together. You've owned two Bigfoot trailers, so for that alone you'll always fit in. But, I (we) have no juice when it comes to where people can park in an Oregon State Park....

People with bad attitudes and big chips on their shoulders should NOT be part of this friendly group of NOG participants.... those people wouldn't have any fun and neither would we!

I was able to get one of the two unreserved ADA sites on Loop B... Site B18. BINGO!!! To any curious attendees: please feel free to include me in your Saturday tour if you'd like to check out my new-to-me, 2003 VW Rialta.

Just got a call from Bill & Jacquie. They are going to cancel site A11. It's a handicap site. They had reservations for the 6th through the 9th. Because of the restriction for ADA acceptance, they felt it wouldn't be one of the more needed sites, so they're cancelling. (Sorry Ron!). If you need a site and you are ADA qualified, you may want to try to get this site soon.

Just a quick note...
Maureen, Megan and I won't make it to the park on Friday night. We will be there first thing Saturday morning. Did not want folks to worry. See you all next week.

I'm HOME! Actually left yesterday, but too tired from having all that fun to get online. It was another fabulous NOG. The weather was iffy, but Saturday was gorgeous. There's a reason it's called the Pacific NorthWET.

What a group of nice, nice people. Terrific conversations, sharing of stories and much, much laughter. Couldn't have had a better time if it were planned!

Thanks to Dave&Kathie for the use of their big EZ-Up. Did anyone notice, the moment Wayne & Mailie helped me get it up... it stopped raining? We should have done that on Wednesday!

I have no pictures to share, I'm not much of a camera person. I do have one I'll post over the weekend, it's a stitch together kinda picture. I saw lots of folks walking around with camera phones and actual cameras, so I know several will be posting. Sharen Heath has already posted pictures on Facebook!

It was a blast gang! Until Spring NOG... everyone stay safe and sane

Donna, thanks so much for inviting Jodee and I to the NOG. Even though we weren't able to stay for any length of time, we found it fun, very friendly and informative. More than a few of the attendees took the time to talk to us (trailer newbies) and show us their rigs. All of which provided us the impetus to find and then buy a very nice used 16' Scamp not terribly far from the NOG. So now we're working on the logistics of getting it back to Spokane and arranging winter storage.

We now are looking forward to Spring and the 'start' of our new adventures. Our friends are 'egging' us on.

PS: You look just like your avatar!

Hey Dave! Glad you and Jodee were able to make it. AND, you found your egg so quickly too. I hope we can cross paths and share Scamp/camping stories! Safe travels.

Yeah, I've been told I look EXACTLY like my avatar

BTW: Happy Birthday!
