One great place to camp
Forestry site near Manning Park BC, (Copper Creek, Eastgate). - not a soul around for 3 days.

Rick,
That's the kind of camping I like. I like to stay away from campgrounds.
Is much of the forest land open for remote (we call it dispersed) camping?
Is that Forestry Canada or Forestry BC?

We prefer to avoid *campgrounds at all costs*
It's all bush on the lower levels and in this part of BC a short ATV drive up the mountain gets you into rolling fields. A Casita could get up there via logging roads - but not my Bigfoot - well it could but I hate getting my BLACK Durango dusty! ;)
( I think it was actually a Weyerhauser site)

It looks just right for Origami too and that would be fitting seeing it's a Weyerhauser site.

W.T.H is an Origami?
is that the foldable that Michael has?
(the river was a bit shallow when I was there for a kayak. There are also some BIG waterfalls just down the corner. Probably a 40 foot drop.) :o

No, it's the foldable I have. The Porta-bote is tough, so it should survive a 40 foot waterfall. Of course, I'd have to get it going really fast to get back up :reye2
