Hi everyone. Happy to say the Ontario Bolerama is booked at Emily Provincial Park again July 6-9 2007. Our meets here are very well supported by campers and the Park staff. I updated the webpage to provide information for the meet.
http://home.cogeco.ca/~dtaylor30/index.html
We're calling it the "Retro Rally" this year. Sort of a salute to the colours and timeless design of these trailers. Also Emily Park is celebrating their 50th anniversary as a park the same weekend. We welcome all molded fiberglass trailers, new or old.
Regards Fred Taylor
welcome feedback and pass the word...

RATS!!!!
This is the fifth campout back east that just doesn't fit my 3 month long trip. I'll enter Ontario on July 11th from Michigan. So keep your eyes peeled for me when you folks head back home.
Tug is a Dark Green Jeep Cherokee pulling a Scamp 13 footer named PUFF....California license plates. SOI logo on trailer spare tire cover.
Missed campouts:
1. Memorial Day weekend, Illinois.....I leave the day after Memorial Day from California.
2. Leech Lake, MN June 18-22....I'll be through MN and into Wis. by then
3. Bolerama July 7-9....I'll be in Mich. won't enter Ontario until July 11
4. Iowa Rally tentatively Sept. 7-10.....I arrive back in California August 31.
5. Lanesboro, MN Sept. 21-23....I'll be home in California
Oh well, this was the best chance. I don't know when I'll get past the Rockies after this trip.
And Yes, I'll miss the Oregon Gathering which wasn't listed above because it's not an eastern gathering. I still have my reservations at Bullard's in case something happens and I have to postpone the trip east.

We are in, this summer we won't go in the maritime provinces but are willing to test our 17" Boler on the Ontario roads.
with 2 kids under 2 years old, I guess the 16 hours trip to PEI is not a good idea.

We will leave our Great Dane in Quebec; I bet we will have enough of the 2 toddlers to take care of.
I hope to see you there and I also hope to see the people we met at the last Fiberglass-with-class meet in PEI. I already got a PM from Norm who was parked next to us in PEI. So I bet it will be a nice week-end !

On Line bookings for those wishing to get electrical sites for the "Retro Rally" dates are now open.
We are booked into site 98 in Hill Campground, at least 14 electrical sites have already been booked for that weekend!
The online booking is only required for...
Those who are looking for an electrical hook up site or
Those who will not be staying in the large "group area"

We will be in PEI and Nova Scotia the week before the 'Retro Rally" and were hoping to make it to the Ralley on our way back to Ontario.
If the dates work out we'd LOVE to piggy back your convoy!

Hi there. Nice to hear of all the people already excitied to get out camping.
We will be at the Emily meet as Luc P stated... just wondering who else will be going with young kids? We`ll be in the circle but I guess on the side where it will be a bit quieter so as not to wake those who are late to bed and late to rise.
We will be bringing our 2 kids... 2 yr old son and almost 1 yr old daughter by then...
Looking forward to the rally!

I wouldn't worry about the noise. You can't expect to stay in the circle and sleep late. There is just too much fun happening. With babies that age everyone will be wanting to help you.
Yes, Doug and I are planning to join the circle this year too.
I think there are more turkey fryers now so maybe we could have a cook-off.
Yes Al you can always carve and Doreen can swat away those trying to take your carvings. (LOL)

The great specialist in turkey fryer, at Emily, is Doug Roach. He will surely take a great pleasure to explain more. But, yes, Nicole, it's deep fried turkey....without competition.
Will be a great pleasure to meet you all.
Alistair, I'll have the same sparkling something to help you sing....

For Nicole & Tina...
One of the events at Emily is a pot-luck supper where any and all are invited to bring something to share with the brood. A couple of years ago, my ever-lovin' and I dragged our turkey fryer up from Miami and created a bit of a stir. Seems most folks there had never seen such a bizarre way to boil a bird. The really unfortunate thing was that there wasn't enough turkey to share with all two-hundred folks who were there.
Apparently our friend Raymond from Quebec now has brought this marvelous gastronomic technology to the northern climes and is offering to introduce it to more of our fellow Bolerites.
I'll certainly bring mine and anyone else that has a fryer is encouraged to pack it along. Perhaps some year after more and more folks imbibe in this most sublime epicurean delight, we'll finally have enough fryers and enough turkeys to share with everyone in the park.
Competitions are for kids... Raymond & I will simply be sharing the best bird you'll ever wrap your lips around.
Now about that strawberry bubbly, buddy..........
Doug
Still stuck in Miami

Hmmm... sounds good... I have a propane fryer.... what else is needed aside from the bird?
I may have to ok this with Luc though... he does the packing, I just organize in advance.
I am looking forward to this meet.
