The Gathering was phenomenal --
the best yet! 
First, we had beautiful weather! There were:
232 People (I have no idea how many dogs & cats, but a LOT)

14 States, 3 Canadian Providences and 1 Canadian Territory Represented

Everyone pitched in and helped especially with putting packets together, assembling pickets, doing
registration and setting up and taking down tables for events. (It was much appreciated!) Before the Gathering, many people helped in many ways: Donna D printed pickets, Ellen B made nametags, Chari B purchased nametags lanyards, Gene L set up our
registration site and kept a great campground map, Carolyn & Joe S brought huge bags of paper products from Kimberly Clark for each site, Nancy H made a wine tote for each site and Mike S donated website space for our discussions. Many made wonderful donations for the Saturday Night Give-Away: Gene L (from 19 corporations), Carolyn & Joe S, Ellen & Barry B, Jamie H, Jeanne & Paul W, Maxie J, Terri & George B, Barbara H and Roy M.
There was an informal event on Thursday night - a beer exchange organized by Donna D. Everyone came even the non-beer drinkers. (Were there ever some weird beer names there!)
The Friday night wine tasting event (totally organized and led by Paul & Pat G) was really fun! It was the perfect kickoff to the weekend. We had so much finger food that we could have all eaten dinner there. After dinner, we introduced ourselves, then we had music and a campfire. Renee and Randy J shared their wonderful music with us.
The next morning, there was a share table (for camping-related give-aways and used books). Trailer tours started at 10:00 AM and I don't think they ever ended. Reace H brought a brand new
Escape trailer from his factory. Gibs RV brought two new
Bigfoot trailers for us to tour.

- Dutch Oven Cooking Lori & Mike S
We enjoyed quite a few Dutch oven dishes at our potluck on Saturday night. My goodness, the food! We gained more than just new friends this weekend!
After the potluck, Maxie J took the group photo. Gene L gave away prizes and I announced the awards. Mike B (who didn't even get to attend) made, donated and mailed seven beautiful plaques.

Then we had another campfire (and more marshmallows). Randy R, Steve R and Mike G joined Randy & Renee J with their guitars and we sang until the park made us go to bed.
The next morning, we had another potluck... a brunch (soooo much yummy food). Some people had to leave on Sunday but others came early and stayed late. There were a couple of impromptu campfire gatherings on Sunday night.
There are already wonderful and new plans in the works for the
2007 Oregon Gathering.
