First of all, Gina, thank you very much for all your help on putting this gathering together. We're looking forward to meeting you.
I believe we have two more Casitas coming from the Phoenix area. Gene and Mel & Mary. One possible from Lake Havasu. Looks like it's going to be a good sized group.
My wife and I will also be bringing a generator (Yamaha 2400) so we will have plenty for charging. We have started playing with Dutch ovens, so will bring one or two to have fun with. Also plan to bring a hand held GPS to do some Geocaching.
What types of things do the rest of you like to take along when you go camping?
George

Frederick posted the GPS coordinates of the exit off of I-10, but if anyone could post the actual GPS coordinates where we are setting up later on that would be awesome.

I will be going down there Thursday January 31 and meeting a couple of other people. We will select our campsite at that time. Then we will set out "Pie Plate" signs directing to the site. Also, I am going to call Doug Thursday evening with the GPS coordinates which he will post on these sites. We will all end up in the same place.

I will be leaving from Chandler, AZ. on Friday morning. I will have to use the low tech Pie Plate navigation system.

Hi everyone! We are really looking forward to this get-together. We, too, will be using the pie plate nav-system, and hope to roll in early Friday afternoon.
Gina, does business take you to Chandler? We are in Gila Bend (Quail Trail RV just off I-8) until the 31st. A short cut thru Maricopa makes Chandler the closest spot for significant supply purchases and we expect to be there at least once more before month's end- just wondering.
Take care and we'll see ya'll in the desert. L 'n D

 I'm looking forward to this.
After having the Fiber Stream spend the holidaze in the back yard as the guest suite, I took it out Today to dump the holding tanks, fill the propane tanks, and park it where it is more accessible for traveling use.

we are supposed to have a danged snowstorm this week, and I will be in Mexico during it so I can't attend to keeping mine "road ready".
There's nothing I can do about the road conditions.. if it's icy, I stay put. Hopefully, the forecasters will be wrong..

Anyone else attending with kids besides us?
Of course, I've already told them there will be some Beagles and possibly a Kitty to play with......

Beagles will not be there. The Kitty will be tho!
Kitty as in Wilson the Kamping Kat, not Kitty the dog...(Ya, I get confused in my own house too)

I have reexamined Google Earth, and the directions given, and here are updated coordinates:
The [b]intersection of Dome Rock Road West and the Overpass road for I-10, exit #11:
33o38'46.84" N
114o20'08.74" W
elevation 1202 ft
Quote:
Go east on the frontage road 100 yards [b]or so to the entrance road on your right.

If I can trust Google Earth's measurements
The first road on your right is 360.49 yards (or 0.2 miles) from the previous intersection at:
33o38'45.22" N
114o19'56.15" W
elevation 1202 ft

He has his moments.. he's never been around kids, but since his life is "Play Play Play" and "Eat eat eat" I am sure they can be entertained easily.

Looks like the weather can go either way this time of year-no matter we will all have a good time!
Does anyone know if we can fill up the water tank at either Loves or Pilot at I10 & I95 or in the proximity of Quartzsite?
We probably will be there a day or two before most-anyone else arriving on the 30th?
