The Wine Tasting

1 Everyone who wishes to participate must bring a bottle of wine. Any price or type, whites, reds, rose or other are fine.

2 All participants need to drop off bottle and sign in at Rosemarys trailer.

3 She will bag and label each bottle as to type and give wrist bands to participants.

4 At the arranged time (Sat afternoon) we will gather and go over the rules and pass out papers for grading the selections.

5 Each participant needs to bring their own wine glass and a pen or pencil.

6 Their will be 1st and 2nd place prizes for Reds, Whites and Misc. Their will also be a booby prize for the STINKER of the lot.

Bringing some type of snack to share with the group will be appreciated

Have you a date in mind for the wine tasting?

How would one locate you at Quartzite gathering?

To paraphrase Henry Ford... any color you want, as long as it is white.

Thank goodness we'll be in a "white Scamp." Wouldn't want to get confused with all the others...

George and others - We are planning to attend our first "Egg get together" with your group in Quartzsite. Hope to drive up from Florence, Az on Thursday, Feb 11th. May be two rigs coming. We are familiar with Dome Rock area, having stopped overnight in Nov on our way South from WA

Thank you and the other hosts for putting this together. Look forward to meeting you and others. Sounds like a fun weekend !

Do you park close together or try to spread out?
We are pulling a 16 Scamp with an 8lb Yorkie in charge

"The Peanut" and I will be arriving on February 12, and leaving on the 15th. I will be looking forward to meeting old friends, and making new ones at Quartzsite for my first visit. I passed by the area last October and noticed plenty of room for whoever shows up.

The Peanut? Next to most of the fiberglass trailers a Scamp 5th wheel will be the giant of the land. Glad you can make it and look forward to seeing you.

ray L Welcome to the group. We'll be looking for you. As to parking, it's up to you. We try to have a central fire pit and sitting area so a lot of people try to park in a large circle. Others want more space or want to be next to their friends. We hand out name tags when you arrive and it is always nice when people wear then so we don't have a whole group of "Hey Yous". We ask anyone that might have a bit of firewood to bring it, but it's not a requirment by any means. See you there.

Alan & Michele will most likely be there with the White House. We escape from the California Central Valley fog and rain on 1-20 and have no other committment until Hill-A-Palllooza the week AFTER Quartzsite.

Question for you 48th staters, It made the news that AZ is looking at closing up to 1/2 of the State Parks. Is that real, and if so HOW soon?

Many thanks... Alan

It's all over, it makes news because it's "THE GREAT STATE OF ARIZONA" home of two of the seven wonders of the world,The Apache wars, largest stand of Ponderosa Pine in the world, and more shoreline than Cailfonia etc. etc. My chest sticks out on the subject. Sad state of afairs just to get out and ponder!

I have also been traveling with a group of friends that have the big, BIG stickies. Alongside of theirs mine looks like a little peanut!

Thanks goodness they aren't going to close Dome Rock. Of course it could be washed away, but if not at least it won't be dusty. Doug

Dome Rock is not a State Park it belongs to BLM.
