rallies???

I notice there are "egg rallies" all over the country. We've never been to one. Just curious about what usually happens at a rally!

Gosh Gail, that is a big secret.

Actually, they are lots of fun. People with a common interest getting together. Games played, food eaten, lots of conversation, and so on.

Oh yeah, sometimes a few cocktails are consumed too.

One thing I can tell you is that you get to meet some of the people here on the forums in person and get to look at each others trailers. Campfires in the evening are the norm, weather permitting.

Gail, what happens varies from rally to rally. Some are unorganized and that basically means we camp together and as Roy says you get to put faces to names here and meet some great people. Also get to check out each others trailers and get to see in real life trailers that are in some situations a pretty rare find. Other rallies have work shops where you get to learn how to fix something on your trailer or how to make a crafty item. Some rallies may have games and pot lucks etc as well.

If you click on the link below and check out the photos you will see pics from some of the rallies held here in BC. We got into a costume theme for our potlucks for a couple of years, as strange as that may sound - a bit of a tale as to how that happened :-O and surprisingly the majority of folks got right into it! We also have held a bocci tournament in the past few years that can get a little competitive as past winners defend their title.... all good fun.

Plus one on the Jello Shots and let us not forget Rummy Gummy Bears!

Really is a lot like a family reunion, except not as boring, think instead of one weird aunt or odd duck uncle you got lots of em, and all their crazy stories are new.

It is really nice to see how folks have organized or modified things to make their egg more convenient to use. Or glamorous, can't forget the glampers. Lots of good ideas are exchanged.

Do it. I was a little reserved about my first one, as I was 30, and many were near/around retirement. I already have my spot reserved for September this year, and I can't wait! They don't chain you to your camper, so you can look up local attractions and get out on your own, or get a little group together to do something, also.

You won't find a nicer, more helpful group of people around.

You get a bunch of people with a known common interest together. Add trailer tours and stir. Then simmer lightly near campfires. Enjoy with beverages of choice (and some can be pretty choice, as you may have gathered!). Top off with an ice cream social or some other dessert.
