You need to Stalk the CG every day many times if you still want to go?
I have found sites and moved to better sites all the way up to the week of the Rally so its not over till its over!

There are also some Tent sites that do have Electric and Water and I have been on them. They are too small for anyone in an RV except us and I have had to make sure the CG Rangers know I am in the Scamp group before they realize how small mine is,they all know who we are!

So if you want to see or really HEAR Floyd! Keep trying.

People do cancel and move all the time there.

as of today, 8/4/12, we have 25 trailers registered for this event.

If you are not registered, go to www.reserveamerica.com to secure a campsite. Then contact dick and lynda freed @ richfreed@aol.com or phone 814.449.9596 to give us your site number and camper information. All fiberglass campers are welcome to register... We even have some members who are not owners of fiberglass trailers. Come one, come all!

Once you are registered, feel free to post here with your information, or if you have any questions.

See you in feb!

.

When we attended our first rally in Duluth Minnesota last year, we knew non of the attendees . The first person (Besides Host) to walk up , introduce himself and offer assistance was Floyd. We were impressed by his act of friendship to strangers.

Pay it forward Steve! When you attend a rally, introduce yourself to someone new or someone you've never met before. We're a friendly bunch!!

Smile Coming to Scamp Camp

Although he reads almost every day, Craig and I haven't posted for a while, but we've been busy camping since I finally retired for real (long story involving a boss who can't let go and me being unable to say "no"...done with that).

Wanted to post that we are coming to Scamp Camp and really excited about meeting you folks.

We'll be in Site #76 from Sunday - Thursday nights and then have to move to the wilderness section (#P16) Friday thru Saturday nights leaving on Sunday for the remainder of our 6 week adventure.

Looking forward to a great time and making some new friends.

Emily, Check out Paynes Prairie Preserve State park, you get water & electric for $18. I live just over an hour south of Gainesville and HH is about 3.5-4 hours south of me. Other than Paynes Prairie there isn't a whole lot very close to the highway that I can think of. A couple of Walmarts, in either Gainesville or Ocala. Oh, hey, there is a Cracker Barrel right off exit 350 in Ocala. That might work for you, it would be about 35 minutes south of Gainesville. I'm not heading to Scamp Camp but understand it is a good time so enjoy.

Will you be bringing your kayaks? Arbuckle creek is a nice paddle we found last year. We haven't decided if we'll bring ours this year, since we had to push our arrival back to Wednesday due to our kids visiting us while passing through from out of country.

Yup...Have Kayaks Will Travel

We also have a site change for the last 2 nights. Opening came up a few sites away so won't have to move to the primitive section after all.

We're looking forward to meeting everyone.
