MN | Scrambled Egg Meet May 6 & 7 2016

For the last 2 years we have meeting at Mill lacs lake for an early spring scrambled egg meet after a long cold winter and we feel that we will do it again this year.

Friday & Saturday, May 6 & 7, 2016

Some of us decided that we should make this an annual thing so, We will be doing a back to basics meet here at mille Lacs Kathio Campground Petaga on the shores of Mille Lacs lake 2016 So many meets have been organized to the top so this will be simple . No host we will have Cowboy coffee each morning at 5:30 to whenever morning ends and Homegrown pop corn each evening and most likely a pot luck one evening WE WILL BE HAVING A WIENER ROAST FOR THE MEET AND GREET SO BRING DOGS!!! They have first come event lodge with fireplace and all, and I am sure we will have entertainment from out Scamp “troubadours” so bring any music you can handle even if you can’t we will surely Grin and applaud. Mille lacs is just north West of the Twin Cites about 60 miles

That's very appealing. Too soon to plan that far off, but I'd like to make it. I could maybe combine it with a visit to my grandson who just started a nice job in Madison after graduating from Va Tech.

We had a good time there last year. Put us on the list for 2016 ... Oh yes, there is no list. :-)
Of course, there are no guarantees. Our plans last fall fell through with my heart attack and open heart surgery.
This week I go in for Cataract surgery, so I should be able to see better, to enjoy the scenery.

There are 18 trailers registered for May 6,7. There are 6 trailers registered for the week earlier but we think only one of those is from our group. Since this is an informal meet no one keeps track of who is coming.

All reservable electric sites are reserved. There are 7 first come first serve electric sites available for non reservable sites.

There are several non electric reservable sites.

Looking forward to our first gathering of the season and meeting up with old friends.

there are not any reservable electric sites left. MInnesota State Parks hold some electric first come first serve sites.

Last time I looked there may have been a couple of reservable non electric sites.

Use the campground reservation system to check for availability.

Nancy and Pat,
I called reservations and was told that the system would be changing May 1 and that all sites would now be available. I took that to mean there were no longer walk up sites held. So I believe that means you can get an electric site after May 1. Phone number 1-866-857-2757 Let us know if this is wrong.

We (Lisa & Rob) are attending our first Scamp event! We bought our used 2007 16' Scamp in August 2015. I just updated our reservation online from a non-electric site (#50) to electric (#31). Site #31 was previously one of the "walk-up only" sites.

Excited to be camping this weekend (starting tomorrow) & looking forward to meeting everyone! It's going to be a lovely weekend for the most part.
