I would suggest if you would like to roast something goat size either renting or building a Cuban style pig roaster, see La Caja China Pig Roast Boxes | Superb Roasting Pig BBQ Grills and Smokers. Steiners meat market down the road from me rents out these units. If I make it I can bring over my smoker, I have put six Boston butts on it at one time - that's alot of pulled pork.
hmmm butt roast are sounding pretty good.

Corn on the cob?

Do you need a BIG pot for the corn. Have one that holds 12 dozen.

So much yummy food in the future!

Would it be possible to have a poll with general food categories? People could vote for the category of food they plan to bring such as salad, vegetable, fruit, dessert, meat dish, pasta or what have you. Help encourage a nice mix.

How many are we up to now? Anyone been keeping count?
Been too busy to get on the forum for awhile and have fallen way behind. Last I knew it was around 44 people but seems like there have been some additions since then. Including it appears a contingent from the US and Canadian olympic drinking team. Go Team!

Take a look at the past few pages and you will see that people have listed things that they are going to bring. Last time Pam counted I think it was around 22 Eggs signed up.

My current count is at 24 eggs.
Our campsite will be bringing some sort of a dessert item.
For snackin will also bring some of hubbys homemade hummus (for all the garlic lovers out there) and some of his homeade salsa (hot stuff, not for the weak of heart)

Scott, I'll probably still do the pasta salad because the components are easily transportable. Thanks for the offer! See you in less than a month !

That would be great!, seeing so many different foods, we were unsure what to bring. Seeing a compiled list will make that task easier.

Thanks
